At least on Xbox the game allows manual saving between missions, so you should indeed be able to both have your own saves. Just be careful not to overwrite your lads saves and vice versa (speaking from experience here). Rockstar games usually don't have the option to name those saves, so likely the saves will be named after the last mission you completed, with some additional information like the saving time and completion percentage shown next to the title. And also note that if the autosave function is turned on, it'll overwrite the previous autosave slot no matter who is playing the game and at what point. So in your case my advice would be to either turn the autosave option off, or at least recommend that you both save manually before you stop playing. papalazarou2
Thanks for that mate, we are quite used to doing that with other games, it's just some games only allow you to do one playthrough at a time. We can't wait for this one, never bought a console because our PC can do everything better, I bought a really good PC back in 2008, and just when it was creaking on it's last legs, in 2016 we got struck by lightning which blew it up, and the insurance just replaced it with one bang up to date - a rare good investment _SMOKEY_
Jimbatron
I have two accounts on my Xbox One X, been able to sign in and have a completely different set of SP saves, that has the advantage you won't only have one auto save etc or overwrite the other persons. It's unclear yet whether the launcher will let you play the game other than on the first account its registered to - hopefully it will on SP, I'm less confident about online. Possibly with the PC you'd also be able to back up your save files to a different folder in case of an accidental overwrite. Red Dead Rebel
If you always save manually, yeah. There should be a 10 save slots. Edited November 4, 2019 by Red Dead Rebel

I play little console but enjoy PC much better too, and plan to go for another playthrough on PC starting tomorrow! You and your lad enjoy this one, it really is one of the greatest games out there by any standard.
