Can't stack body armor when buying?

Yo dawgs.

 

So I know I used to be able to buy body armor from any Ammu-nation and stack it into my inventory. It says I can't add anymore to my inventory, although I have none.

 

Known bug these days?

What do you mean cant stack it. You have zero armor of any type and cant buy any armor at all? Must be new bug if this is the case. Did you restart game, clear cache?

Singing the same tune as StangOne50 above: have you checked the other armor categories if you have any in those?

 

IIRC, there are five body armor categories from super light armor (+20% armor) to super heavy armor (+100% armor). You can own only up to ten body armors in total (rank 135+). For example, you could have 5 x super light, 3 x light armor and 2 x super heavy armor, but not more. R* has had the habit to gift full armor sets on special days such as XMAS so you can have total of 50 armors (ten in each class), but you can't buy a new one until your body armor total goes under ten.
