Ricbit 33
Well, In the "Home Coming" Mission We all know how the mission takes place. What happens is that I start this Theme because CJ when he goes to pick up Sweet They have a discussion, which, CJ talks about his neighborhood as if he hated it with all his desire. And it got me in doubt: Does CJ really care about Grove Street and its Neighborhood?
Max.pain 1,741
no, he cares about his family. the reason he worked all that hard for grove street was his family(sweet still seems not to see it though). after sweet got in jail, he realised everything is messed up so(along with tenpenny threatening him) he left it to its own. so did the other members as wee see in “home coming”. i can’t also blame cj for leaving that place in the first place and going to liberty city, everything was messed up along with his brother’s death so he chose to get away if there is no point of staying there and getting more hurt by the day.
Evil empire 2,656
From an immersion-friendly point of view CJ essentially cares for his family and fights again for Grove Street when Sweet is free because he knows the GSF are only strong when the Johnson brothers work together.
KingD19 90
Cj cares for his family as far as grove street cj don’t really care for them he only wanted to please sweet if sweet never got out of jail cj would still be in flying private jets and living a flashy life in Venturas not Los Santos Edited November 1, 2019 by KingD19

lil weasel 2,760
No, not as a priority, Carl was only interested in the Johnson family. Carl in his psychosis appears to care about Sweet and Kendl, remembering he only returned for his Mum's funeral (which he missed). Carl tries to reestablish Sweet as a leader. The gang is falling apart due to Sweet's lack of skills. And, finally when Sweet is taken Carl thinks he can somehow free Sweet. Wreaking vengeance on other criminals. That appears possible if he aligns with Toreno
Copcaller 671
Cj loves his brother who's attached to the Grove so he fights to defend it but if it was up to him he'd pack up sweet cj Kendal and ceser and move them to San fierro or Las ventarus
Rhoda 6,973
CJ loves what Grove Street represented for him. The nostalgia isn't strong enough and he soon comes to realise that what he missed when he was away has dwindled along with his youth and lack of responsibilities. You see glimpses of this when he's talking to Ryder and Smoke during early missions - they recount school, time in the hood and how things used to be. The more things change, the more things stay the same.
lil weasel 2,760
No. Carl's only reason (shown) is return for the Funeral, when back he decided to help his brother, Sweet, and then became "Tar-Babied" when Sweet was taken. Otherwise he really could not care less about the gang. Just Brotherly Support.
