How can i mod offline and still play normally online when i want to switch back and forth

i read up on it a little bit but cant really find an answer besides back up your game okay i backed it up now what do i do when i want to stop modding offline and jus go play gta online

Most just have two folders a clean game file folder and a modded game folder and then when you want to go play online just swap folders
