Still; slow but steady is the way to add money. Farming and selling NPC-modded cars is actually good money considering how easy it is (Sentinel XS especially IMO).

Import/Export is probably my favourite way to make money, because I love driving in GTA and the missions are varied enough to the point where it doesn't become too monotonous. The only problem is actually getting set-up and getting a good lobby.

I would give it a 5/10 now. The game now just to me isnt as good as it was. I think too much silly crap has been added, I miss the days of chasing people down with sticky bombs and biggest threat to deal with was the jet. Also now for those just starting out its much more rough. Back when I started it out I really only had jets to worry about while I was doing my MC work. I use to have people follow me in their cars trying to blow me up but I was able to defend myself and had fun doing it, now I would have how many off radar oppressors up my a$$???? Plus the pay walls now I did not have to deal with then. For example if a new player wants a magical rocket e-peen  so they can compete with all the other e-peens they will have to first buy the night club then buy a terabyte then buy the workshop that goes in the tarabyte then buy the e-peen then pay for the weapon upgrades versus when you just bought the entire vehicle you wanted on War Stock and you were done.

 

For me the worse of it all is that there are so many places we still cant go into. I think places need to open up and we need more recreational stuff to do. GTA had a focus on recreation so I am not sure why there isnt more in online. I mean before the Casino there was just the same movies , golf and tennis . Ever get into a tennis match with someone who put it on way to many sets? Pure torture.

10 on hype in 2015....  -9000 2 weeks later and ever since!  the refusal to manage the biggest IPO in the history of media ever has been blown over to such an effect...It boggles my mind why they have refuse to come off a tiny percentage to implement proper live detection listening servers or even an ability to regard their own database( or admit they cannot) .. hard to have false positives when you canot even pick up on legit positives even after i spoon feed them to you....

I disagree. I have been a huge GTA fanboy since 2001, with GTA III, and somewhat of a fan of the '90s top down games. But I literally just dove into GTAO for the first time in June of last year. I was inspired by @xInfected_Virus's guide, and when the GTA V went on sale for $15.00 for like 3 days, which actually included the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack for free, I decided to finally see what all the fuss was about. To be honest, I shouldn't say that I got into GTAO for the first time, since I tried it waaaaaay back in like 2013 on the PS3. But back then it just felt like some crazy grind and an un-fun (to me at least) free for all where everyone was trying to kill you. I got bored after a very short time, and went back to SP and never looked back.

 

But since buying the PS4 version for dirt cheap, I am now addicted to the Online. In fact, I have still yet to even run the SP campaign on the PS4 lol. Don't get me wrong, for a new player, it was very confusing and even overwhelming, and in defense of GTAO in 2013, the old GTAO was a lot simpler and easier to wrap my head around. But I have to tell you that even grinding money was a lot of fun! I enjoyed the hell out of those insanely tedious grind loops when I had to do it to sort of pay my dues. I became so immersed in the concept of literally building my criminal empire from the ground up, and thanks in part to XInfected sort of mentoring me, in like 8 months, I am wealthy beyond my most avaricious dreams. The Cayo Heist, which I whinged & bitched about when it first launched, is actually a friggin' delight to me now! I love the Casino Heists. I even enjoy doing stupid crap like the occasional VIP Mission, though not for money, just for fun. I like racing. I enjoy the hell out of heist setups and selling my Bunker and Night Club.

 

There is just so much in this game to do and to lavish in for me. I am the opposite of most people here. If the game was still like it was in 2013, just some insane, unbridled free-for-all, I wouldn't be playing it now, and would rate it maybe a 5/10. Now, with all the insane game modes, the Casino, the apartments, huge amount of garage space, unfathomable amount of vehicles to collect and customize, all the businesses to own and run, I would give it probably a 9/10 right now.

 

Yes, it has its flaws. I hate that the game encourages griefers and instigates people to ruin your business sales. So I took off for that. But I really love the whole massive variety to this beautiful map, and unlike SP, which really doesn't use a lot of the map, the Online part of the game really utilizes every square inch, to at least some extent. Yeah, the game has lots of flaws. It isn't perfect, and there are some bonehead decisions I think the devs made in some of the features and coding. But overall? As an organic experience and for its pure immersion? I think it is just a breathtaking online experience.

I'd give it a 2. At the end of the day the only reason I ever played this garbage was because of exclusive content like cars/apartments etc. Anything that should've been in SP.

 

It runs like sh*t. It looks sh*t. The traffic popgroups are from 2013. It's basically Grand Purchase Thy Auto. The activities are for short-term novelty. The storylines are laughable. The characters/contacts are all unlikeable, over the top and cliché. The "economy" is a joke. The amount of bugs that still exist are laughable, meanwhile any glitch that involves money gets hotfixed in a flash. The quality is okay at best. Occasionally they outdo themselves (Diamond Casino). Half the content appeals to a clientele that they legally can't directly market to but do anyways because they know that market always finds a way to obtain the game. It's not even GTA really. The only thing GTA about it is you can steal a damn car and hope that it's one you can actually store (otherwise it's too hot!) As if exotic cars never get stolen.

 

And last, but certainly not least, the fanbase. Deplorable. Tasteless. Complacent. Exhausting. Virtue-signalling, self-righteous lunatics. Say ANYTHING bad about this game or any aspect of it and get ready for the pitchforks and lectures about how you must be a spoiled little brat who cries if you don't get your way. Nevermind you're actually a busy college student or someone who works or someone who exercises or has a life or actually does something other than spend hours grinding on some 8 year old video game at 30 years old, bitching about how terrible other people must be even though your life is the epitome of miserable (but it's never your fault, it's everyone elses including these "spoiled little brats" GRRRR!1!). It honestly is exhausting. The amount of times I had to explain why someone may feel some way about an upcoming update or an aspect of the game and why they might complain without hating the game... it gives me an idea of what it would be like set myself on fire. No maybe that would actually be better. Because nothing can get through to a fanbase that ogles over anything they can get and is content with bullsh*t. Everything is black and white. You either love the game or hate it. If you don't like this part of the game, go play something else. Or go make it yourself. And don't get me started on how I was talked down to about how to code a car to handle better than how Rockstar did it "anecdotal evidence" as if the sh*t is rocket science or something and yet the sh*t still handled better miles better than whatever to f*ck they decided to f*cking do.  They just think they know everything. Just like theyll excuse anything Rockstar does because its a business. Part of my degree is a f*cking BBA not all businesses run like this. There are SO MANY WAYS to run a business especially when it comes to focusing on quality while still turning a profit stop eating this sh*t up!

Because this games give us so many possibilities, in fact it´s the best sandbox game out there IMO. It gets support since 8 year adding a lot of content. It got so many content I like, from customizable cars, some greater than other, tattoos, Biker stuff, R*Editor to take snaps and much more.

I am bitching too, because this game could even be much better but I have to admit that the expectations are huge.

In fact there isn´t other game I want to play. Just GTA. Since two years I am in an active clean car crew and we doing car meets every day. I mean the possibilities are insane if you are little creative. Before my own crew with RL friends was active, we did heists and jobs which also was a lot of fun.

Never had the wish to buy everything in game or grind for money. Just getting what I like and ignoring what I don´t´ like. Playing the game since 2013 and I still love it.

8/10 sure there are many downfalls but it makes up for those in other ways and sure R* try and money grab at every opportunity but it’s still a go to game 7 years on and in all honesty just like every other online game you can have so many laughs with a group of friends doing random crap.

It's "Grand Theft Auto: Online" but it doesn't have to be? The way they neglected single player is just bonkers. 

 

Online freemode is not a dumpster fire.. That's small and contained. This is a full on Circus fire... They have neglected Quality Assurance far...far too long. And I'm a gta freak. So I want them to be good. They just aren't. There is a huge community out there they seemingly take no advice from. I don't know what they're doing!!! (Besides making boo-koo dollas apparently )

I absolutely agree! I am addicted to GTAO, so I scored it seperately, but I can't blame you for docking it because of the pitiful neglect of SP since 2013.
