Yellow Dog with Cone

6/10

It could be and it should be way better.

7/10 for me.

It is still to date, my favourite online game. However, what really lets it down for me is the dripfeed and lack of new clothing (not re-textures).

That being said, the game has always kept a smile my face so despite the flaws, good on Rockstar.

6/10 for me, with full credit going to the original dev team that designed and made it. Oddly enough, just passed 3,333 hours played as of last night. :)

Their ground work and game play mindset/vision is what's keeping this game alive and still profitable.

7 of 10. So many options help, but points off for issues that have existed for 6 years.

Online? 3/10. This kind of network code and grind would have killed any other game, but due to this thing being GTA it survived. The things that make Online playable are actually the things that are making GTA V great and unique: genre and map. I've wasted a lot of my time in Online grinding stuff (my fault completely), when the funniest things to do are mostly free. Online only survives because there's no competition in terms of core game (nothing to replace GTA with) and on consoles where alternative multiplayer is not available.

Often it is a bit boring, but when it gets good it is the best game I have ever played- by far.

Multiplayer modes are rarely better than their single player counterparts, but this was one. And I think that's the worst part about this game. Creative thinking and dev compitence thrown out the window just for a quick couple hundred million.

The best times I've had playing this sh*t hole was with a buddy, doing absolutely f*ck all, and that's where the game is at its best, when you aren't playing the objective. But when you want to play the game, it fails to be a game. Every single aspect of the game are mediocre in their own right; gunplay, racing, missions, pve, pvp, stability, matchmaking, you f*cking name it.

It's an anti game, and one that's potentially changed the landscape of all games moving forward.

All things considered id still give it 7 out of 10.

But i think we should be more specific, i dont know how specific though, but things like update frequency would get a solid 10 out of 10 (even these days when mayor dlc are months apart) while some of the things they add might not even get a 5 out of 10.

Standard Deluxe 59

For a new player?

3/10 because of how grindy the game ended up becoming and the pay to win that didn't exist in the beginning.

8/10 For someone that at least started by 2016 because it wasn't quite the hell hole it is today and if you've played that long, you probably know most of the tips and tricks to playing this game your way.

As a game, it's given me over six years of entertainment, so being objective with that in mind it gets an 8/10.

It has some (considerable) flaws, and it is creaky now with sh*t connectivity. It also has what are surely the most entitled and utterly pathetic demographic of man-babies among its player base.

Still enjoy it though, in small doses.

Obviously, there are some flaws with GTA online, especially when all you want to do is chill out and interact with the environment in your own time, which you can't because of the over-empowerment of very easy-access military vehicles, especially the immediate point-and-click nature of the Oppressor Mk II. People want to interact, but not necessarily get into fights with each other, but the aggressor/bully always wins in GTA online, which is its major flaw, as implemented on purpose by Rockstar.

And the other reason so many people give GTA online a negative rating is because they are thoroughly sick of it after six years, but when you think about it; the amount of updates and things you can now do in GTA online, the vehicles, weapons, properties, services, etc., they are all truly amazing. What started off as a brilliant map and concept without much to do, has become a game with regular and amazing biannual updates, and most of them have been excellent.

The game is better and has more to do than ever before, but two points knocked off for the Rockstar-empowered bullying nature and because we're all sick of it after so many years.

5/10........

It started off as a good game and could have been a great game if they balanced it, cut back on the loading, reduced cooldowns and allowed us to buy and sell with our own PV's.

The only reason Online has lasted this long is because it uses a great game as a template. They took a wonderful game, GTA 5, and turned it into a monster that completely ignores what made GTA 5 great. But the thing is GTA 5 was an amazing game and although much of the magic has been destroyed in Online it’s still a ton of fun to drive around in the ultra-detailed game world. Rockstar turned their own gourmet restaurant meal into poorly made McDonald’s, but there are still traces of the gourmet restaurant meal that is GTA 5, so Online can still be a wondrous experience when you’re not falling for the “grind you to buy Shark cards” tricks.

I hope Rockstar will take advantage of the success of the monster that is GTA Online allowing them to take more time on their games and make GTA 6 recapture what made GTA 5 special. If Red Dead Redemption 2 is any indication GTA 6 will be a return to form. Just gotta hold on for another year or two for the reveal trailer that will restore our faith in the series.

For me 7/10.    GTAO is still mostly the only online game I play, I tend to stick to story most other times.    However the game has gotten a bit to crazy.   Honestly I thing it would be better in free roam didn't have homing missiles, only free fire.    It's to easy for anybody to grab a MKII and just kill someone.      I think the game would be really interesting if you only had guns and throwable bombs but we had RPG's since the start so that's not happening.

The powerful stuff, explosives, tanks, and all militay fire should be get through Zancudo or Bunker missions, and be replenished by those everytime you want more, that would be more balanced and less spammy.

Not sure how I would rate it. The Simeon and Martin missions are fun to play, but there is no organization of any of the other missions (marked like Simeon and Martin). That was pretty stupid not to do. The mod menu cheat is doing great, thanks to dumbstar not bothering to try to block it. And the moronic trying to force people to play only PvP, is really stupid as well. There should be a choice, including co-op and allowing to run any business missions in ANY session. The extreme op flying dildo doesn't help either. Sad part is i'm seeing people BELOW level 100 but yet have the flying dildo and all of it's upgrades. (money cheat/glitch?).

Not much fun being forced to run a solo public session, but even worse when joining public and having cheats and dildo slapping you back and forth.

8/10.

Sure, the game is flawed in some aspects, the Oppressor MkII hasn't been deleted yet and the inflation of the GTA$ (or value of items) is ridiculous.

Yet this game has kept me entertained for hours since 2013 - why? f*cking endless opportunities of fun. Lot's of game modes and player created content to f*ck around with. Still tons of sessions to entertain yourself by comitting war crimes on everyone or just simply fooling around with friends or kind players.

Man, when this game gets shut down, I'll die with it.

Spoiler

jk, when GTA VI Online comes out, I'll pop the boner once more for another decade.

6/10,  I have to agree with what was said already, its just way out of balance, to many OP things have been added, while its fun, the constant war zone gets boring,  online has turned into a game of just trying to survive the longest before getting blown the f*ck up by a douche on his MKII stick.   Plus all the bugs and glitches that go unpatched because they don't tie in to the direct sale of Shark Cards.   Online is just a tool to sell Shark Cards, and has been for a long time now.

Overall: 7/10                              Great map and some very engaging missions, but in the end marred by missed opportunities, too many long lived glitches, and the devs heavy handed unwillingness to allow players to enjoy themselves on their own terms.

PC with solo public: 8/10            I'm pretty much a lone wolf player anyway, so not interacting with other players is no big deal

PC without solo public: 1/10       complete clusterf*ck with too many cheaters and idiots.

This is the only online game I've ever played, soon to be second fiddle to RDRO.

PvP has never interested me in any way, but RDR seems to have implemented some fun looking modes, so it may grow on me, or I may just completely ignore it.

7/10, what can you expect. Very impressed with their effort in maintaining this, this was my dream level of service ever since online was ever introduced for PS2.
