MrBreak16
I want to make a fun topic. So, if you guys could live in one of the gta cities from any era, it can be 2D, 3D or HD universe, which one would you choose, you have to give me the reasons why you would live there. Also if you want you can rank them. I would personally live in Vice City from the 3D universe because I love this city and there is not that much crime compare to other cities... The Tropical atmosphere is cool and the city layout is good to me. It’s also one of the only Gta cities were de apartments and houses are very cheap : from 2,000$ to 14,000$. I would live in Vice Point because it is a good area and it have a mall. I would live in an Apartment. I really hope that in a future Gta game we will be able to explore this beautiful place that is Vice City again ^^ Copcaller and Steathshadow36
Algonquin Assassin
HD era Liberty City because I like concrete jungles and this one in particular for its diverse neighbourhoods/boroughs and different cultures. billiejoearmstrong8, Raj The Rager, Zello and 3 others

ilovebender.com
London Because that's the city I'm from and live in now. Or West Vinewood in Los Santos. I know Compton's a city in Los Angeles, is Hollywood in a city in Los Angeles? I'd like to have something in Ganton like a business or getaway pad maybe, but, I'd still like to be out of West Vinewood. I'd be born in GTA London now living large outta Paradise, this shady looking night club in West Vinewood, and I'd own a warehouse around the corner across the street with a pad I'd store my BMX at because I wouldn't be able to take it into my own club for some reason. It'll come with a ware house I never use. West Vinewood'll is where I'd be though it'll be out of Downtown Los Santos in my office/pad in the Maze Bank Tower where I really would get away/chill and have my showers and watch tv and stuff. So I'd live in Downtown Los Santos spending all of my time in West Vinewood or on missions or exploring. I'd forego putting classic license plates on all my works of art/fun drives/daily drivers and just hit them with a modern Los Santos license plate; but I'd put one on my show off/blow it out your a' car, this customised Dundreary Regina. I only drive for amusement close to home on weekends and stuff; That I'd give classic license plates to; and my Delux parked in West Vinewood would take me to my 'home' in Downtown Los Santos because it can fly to the roof of the Maze Bank Tower where, that's where I'd watch tv and shower and stuff. Lemoyne outlaw
i would say hd los santos. and live in one of the houses right on the del perro beach. near where dr friedlander lives. so many people hate on gta 5s los santos. but i really love it. i have never been to la. although i do plan to go one day. but living right off that beach just seems amazing. i can imagine going for a super long bike ride. then taking a nice long swim and to top it off sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunset and view. MrBreak16
I can see that a lot of people choose San Fierro, and I agree, it’s a nice city and it have a low level of criminality, Also San Fierro is kind of Isolated to the rest of the map, and it’s the only city with smooth black roads, where Los Santos and Las Venturas have beat up, gray concrete roads, it is also very green, thanks to the multiple parks Edited October 30, 2019 by MrBreak16 iiCriminnaaL and Evil empire
Beato_dim
I don't know, I really like Vice City (although I'm not sure I would like it that much in 2019); definitley not Los Santos or 3D Liberty City - too much of a gang presence there. Zello
IV's Liberty City in Rotterdam Hill Broker or in either BOABO or over in Westdyke in Alderney. MrBreak16
Liberty City is kind of a bald move... It is nice, but it is very expansive, If you don’t have a well-paid job, you will rapidely regret it. Also there is a high crime rate at Liberty City. Hell, in Gta IV the bridges are closed for TERRORISTS ATTACKS !!! Also Liberty City is pretty nasty, there is Trash everywhere... but it’s still a nice city ! Grotti Vigilante
Each location has pros and cons. Liberty City (3D) can get in the bin. Worst place in America, and a well deserved nickname. Grim weather, dirty streets, gangsters all around, and rubbish in some areas, it's too good of a GTA setting to consider settling down in. It's like all the worst places of northeastern cities were merged together in a cosmos to form Liberty City, and for that reason, I'm staying firmly away from it as a home. Great GTA setting, terrible place to live. Liberty City (HD) seems like a nice place to live, but it has it's poor slum areas I'd rather avoid. Good transport though and a decent amount of areas. I'd probably like to live in the middle to upper class areas of Alderney though and take a trip to Algonquin for work and for shopping and such. That'd be near perfect for me so long as I had the money. Might get a bit cold during the winter though, but otherwise it seems like a decent spot. Vice City in any incarnation is a very lovely looking place. Living a lavish lifestyle in a Starfish Island mansion is something to dream for, if not for the fact you'd probably be a drug baron to be able to live there. Unlike Liberty too, Vice City weather is lovely year round aside from odd torrents of rain during the monsoon. Humidity might be hard to deal with, but I have high tolerance and will get used to it easily. Needs a HD remake though. Los Santos is kind of hit and miss. If you're a movie star or billionaire then sure, but otherwise I'd rather not. Weather would be nice, and unlike Vice and Liberty would be drier and more bearable, but really, it's like Liberty in a lot of ways in that it's a major hubs of arts and commerce. As said, if I were rich or a film star, then yes, but otherwise I might choose Liberty. San Fierro is the same reasoning as Los Santos really. It's good if you're a technology tycoon or even someone who works in technology and media, but it's never been anything special for me otherwise. Having said that, Chinatown might just mean a greater abundance of Chinese food, which automatically puts it on par with Los Santos. I'm not even joking there either. Las Venturas with it's hot summers and warm winters combined with plenty of sins to partake in without feeling guilty, it sounds like a decent spot if you live in the Prickle Pine areas. Transport is poor, but it's really a tourist city more than anything. Not to mention, it's beautiful looking at night. I imagine the gambling might get boring after a while though, and cause of alcohol abundance maybe people might get drunk and fight all the time. That kind of hurts the place a bit in my opinion. iiCriminnaaL, LittleJesus, DOUGL4S1 and 5 others

TheSantader25
HD era Los Santos by Vespucci Beach. Wide roads. I wouldn't survive a second in Liberty City. Feels like a packed maze full of depressed people. Los Santos is full of fake people so it ain't exactly perfect but I'll take it.
MrBreak16
If I take all 5 main cities, that’s I would rank them as followed : 5. Liberty City (6/10) 4. Las Venturas (7/10) 3. Los Santos (7.8/10) 2. San Fierro (8/10) 1. Vice City (8.5/10) And if you would live in one of these cities, here are the best districts : 3D era Liberty City : Shoreside Vale HD era Liberty City : Alderney Vice City : Vice Point Los Santos (HD and 3D) : West Los Santos (Verona beach/Vespucci beach) San Fierro : South and West of Downtown Lad Venturas : Prickle Pine Edited November 1, 2019 by MrBreak16
Evil empire
Talking about the other cities: -If Liberty City wasn't infested with gangs I'd willingly take a home in Cedar Grove or live in Salvatore's mansion -In Vice City in would take El swanko casa or a Starfish island mansion hoping they have more useful rooms than hallways contrary to Diaz' home.^^ -Mulholland would be an excellent place to live in Los Santos, otherwise if it wasn't a gang territory I'd take the Santa Maria beach house. -Prickle Pine is the only Las Venturas neighborhood I would like to live in but I don't think I would like the climate and the city looks very dull. I never played any HD GTA.
billiejoearmstrong8
I don't think the gangs in HD Liberty City are too dangerous, they only cause you trouble if you cause them trouble (eg if you start fighting them or refuse to leave after they ask you to like 5 times). There's also areas with no gangs, and no visible street crime. So unless you're a criminal yourself it's safer than most GTA cities. Living in southern Algonquin (Suffolk maybe) or Meadow Hills seems like it would be nice, I love the architecture. Lioshenka
It's a choice between GTA 3's LC and SF. Probably, Liberty City - it's safer, cheaper and more practical than SF. A bit hard to compare given the time difference between them, but if we had to live in the era the game was set in, then I'm leaning more towards LC. MrBreak16
So... I have looked at a list of US cities to live (I know it’s real life and not GTA universe, but I will take it in consideration) and I have come up with this : Most Expensive to cheapest city (1. Is the most expansive) 1. New York (Liberty City) 2. San Francisco (San Fierro) 3. Los Angeles (Los Santos 4. Miami (Vice City) Las Vegas wasn’t in the list, but it’s safe to assume that it is cheaper to live there (which is surprising) then other cities Here are real life pros and cons : New York City : + Career Opportunities + Public Transport + History and Culture + Great Food + Celebrities + Dating + Reduced Crime (it’s actually the case in GTA, 2001 have high crime rate, but it settled in 2008) + Free Events + Central Park - High Rents and Property Cost - Expansive living costs - Fast Paced (it’s not good if you want peace and quiet) - Employement (competition for jobs) - Traffic - The Weather - Attitude (mean citizens) - Familiarity Fatigue (you will eventually get bored of monuments) - Terrorism - Tourist (tourists everywhere...) - Homeless and Crazies - Rats and dirt San Francisco + Job Opportunities + A short drive from everywhere + Public transports + Plenty to Do + Cultural Diversity + Food +/- Weather - Expansive - Earthquakes - Traffic - Homeless Los Angeles + Activities + Sports + Weather + Job Opportunities + House features are cheaper then New York + Improving Transportation network + Beaches + relaxed lifestyle + diversity and culture + Food + Shopping - Traffic - Parking - Job competition - Too big - Expensive to buy house - Attitude - Earthquakes - Expansive - Crime Miami : + Latin American Culture + Food + Nightlife + You never get late + Beaches + Parks + Activities + Taxes are lower in Florida + Exotic Environment (can be a con for some people) - Weather - Crime - Reckless drivers and Traffic - Can be Expansive - Housing expensive for families (lucky if you live alone) - Job Market is average I couldn’t find a proper list for Las Vegas but here are somethings I could make out : + People + Outdoors (national parks near) + Cost + Space + Shops + Food - Weather - Crime - Hard to get a job Edited November 2, 2019 by MrBreak16
