In IV:
- The swingset of death

- While driving a vehicle if the engine dies calling any number on your phone will restart it

- If you get a wanted level while on the dock area of Colony Island directly under the southern edge of the Algonquin Bridge, cops may spawn only on the bridge instead of down on the island and start falling off the edge and raining down from above on and around you creating a pile of dead cops

I like the "flying tank" glitch in III and VC, it's really fun to do. First, enter the Spawn Rhino cheat. Then, enter the Flying Cars cheat. After that, get in the tank and turn the tank's turret to face backwards. Finally, keep accelerating forward and keep shooting from the tank's turret to make the tank fly. On VC, I additionally enter the Cars Drive on Water cheat to make it extra interesting.:)

This was fun because I  could fly to the big buildings. it was also a good way to fly which was better than flying the skimmer but it was easy to loose control of which was the only con. I would also use the cars drive on water cheat while doing this because it made it easier to survive going on water but it still also looks funny.😄

I'll post some video links since I'm too lazy to explain the steps of these glitches. Dunno how well known these are.

GTA III: Ghost car glitch. Using the car crusher and a taxi passenger, you can turn your car into an unsolid object letting you to drive through buildings.

Spoiler

GTA VC: Bike morph glitch. It involves a picking up a clothing pickup while entering a bike, and allows you to drive around without ever falling off the bike if you crash.

Spoiler

GTA SA: Monster truck glitch. If you position the tire of a monster truck on the hood of a traffic vehicle and then enter the vehicle, you will be launched high up in the air.

Spoiler

In V you can glitch into some buildings (eg Michael's house, Floyd's apartment including when it's no longer open, the room where the torture scene took place, an unfinished version of the foundry from ending C) or fall through into Blue Hell via many buildings by standing on the roof, switching characters and immediately switching back. Unfortunately doesn't work on all of them but it's cool that it does on a few.

I don't know if this really counts as a glitch but I was amused playing IV the other day when I popped over to Alderney with a 4 star wanted level and decided to hang out right at the top of a ladder in the part with a metal frame round it. It was the one to the south of the Hickey Bridge that goes up a wall from the beach up to the street. Anyway turned out that from that position the cops and NOOSE coming at me from the street were unable to shoot me and of course they couldn't climb down the ladder to get in a better position with me in the way....so one by one in quick succession they started jumping over my head and falling to their deaths on the beach. Ended when a couple of them survived the fall and got me in the back but was funny while it lasted.

Algonquin Assassin

In GTA IV if you want to do a race for Brucie and can't be bothered listening to the conversation just put the phone on sleep, call Brucie for a race and after a few seconds or so the marker for the race will show up because sleep mode has rendered the conversation void. I'm not sure how much time this saves, but it definitely feels faster and saves a bit of time if you get tired of listening to the same conversation over and over again.

I'm not sure if this works for the other phone based side missions/activities, but I assume they might. Will have to have a look.

You can skip through any phone conversation by pressing down on the d pad. Each press skips to the end of whatever the person speaking is saying so you can just quickly keep pressing it a few times to reach the end of the conversation. Works in IV and V, and counts the same as if you'd listened to the whole thing (not the same as hanging up).

GTA 3: being able to cross the Callahan bridge at the early stage of the game by jumping onto the ripped beams

GTA VC: entering the cheat to blow up all vehicles while entering the vehicle, then pausing and entering the cheat for health. Result: driving a blown up car with three wheels.

GTA IV: swingset! Hours of fun, especially when trying to get a large vehicle to it.

GTA SA: the trick with the smoke grenades and a knife

If you want to have some fun during the mission Reuniting the Families in San Andreas, when it's the point where you're supposed to enter the motel you can ignore that and leave and go anywhere you want on the entire map (including restricted areas and unlocked islands) and do anything you want and you won't get a wanted level. Very few (or maybe none at all) people or vehicles will spawn so it's pretty quiet, but there are parked vehicles.

It's also very useful for increasing your shooting stats since all you have to do is find a car and keep shooting the tyres with each gun until they're all at max level, with no worries of police coming after you.

However if you enter certain interiors (eg clothes shops, not sure what else) it may suddenly transport you to inside the motel to continue the mission and your adventure is over.

Technically not part of the GTA series - but causing a riot in the boys dorm in Bully without cheats (Fire alarm, stink bomb and itching powder - everyone goes nuts...)
