Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

Please tell me as accurately as possible what's the most money you can earn per hour on average if you follow the best guide for Collector Role money making.

I assume the Collector Role is the fastest method for making money currently, so that's why I'm asking the question like that. Otherwise, I'd ask what's the fastest possible method to earn money, no matter how fun or not it is, so please correct me if I'm wrong in thinking that Collector is best for money earning. Also, please tell me what's the best guide to follow in order to make the most money per hour.

I’d think you get more money doing missions etc per hour than collecting, collecting is good for xp cash not so much.

Collector for solo play is probably the fastest and simplest way to make good money. If you have a some friends, each player doing and assisting on 100 unit long hauls can bring in a lot of money fast.

??? Freeroam missions are crap for $. If you're not making money collecting, then you're doing something wrong.

Just use the map @CMCSAVAGE posted.

The Collector role is the best for money making. Sell in complete sets as that's the way to earn lots of cash.

Coins are really good, about 500 dollars for finding 15 coins.

Leveling up your Collector role is very easy, because selling complete sets will give you lots of xp and cash.

Also, once you level up and make enough cash, purchase the Metal Detector, this tool will help you A LOT.

Don't think you're right on that one, I don't think you even make 100 an hour doing missions (info I looked up suggested around 70 but it was 6 months old).  Missions do pay out more frequently whereas collections pay out at the end but a

Full run of collections is around 4,000 so even if it takes 8 hours to run the map that would average out at 500 per hour and will only get better as you learn locations and routes.

It's just over $4k for a complete run and you can do a full run in maybe 3-4 hours if you just follow the maps and route it somewhat sensibly, or 4-5 if you hit metal detector spots on the way. If you have a ton of dupes already, you can do a full set run in 1-2 hours just grabbing the collectables you need, or do a full run and possibly get some dupes from metal detectors and get a couple of extra collections taking you up to maybe 4.5k-5k for a full run

It is by far the best legit money AND exp in the game, anyone who says otherwise is uninformed.

Why not do that with coins?

That particular glitch only works with items that spawn out in the open I believe.

And how do I do the glitch correctly?

No idea, never done it, nor is this really the place/forum to find out how. I'm sure YouTube or reddit could help you. :)

Always hear about this “Glitch” but have never seen steps or explanations anywhere. It’s a myth as far as I’m concerned.

AFAIK it's not a myth, but it's been patched already.

Gold Bars are simple to earn. I have about 150 from daily objectives and award resets alone.

How much per hour depends on how much you collect per hour. The best money comes from selling complete sets. Here is the best map; https://jeanropke.github.io/RDR2CollectorsMap/

Use this, collect coins as they are the most valuable collection..$500+

After that, tbh, you don't really need much more are you will ruin your own fun by owning everything and not having anything to strive for..

sorry didn't make myself clear, just sayin when you go "hardcore" for the collectibles you cannot make THAT much gold by the side.  I'm sitting on 1100+ bars, and I'd probably sit on...250 more, IF I were to stop going down collectibles-lane everyday. and  it takes a while, when you walk the whole lane.

You are obviously joking. It takes you 10 minutes to do a mission and in that time you could have collected enough things to earn you 10x that.

Highly doubt that. Put in a bit more than two hours collecting. Gave me 3 k. Just can't see that you'll earn that much doing missions.

Far as I know you get no $$ each time you grab a collectible just xp, when you sell a set you get a few hundred $ and 1500xp, if that is correct then as I said you get loads of xp, not so much $$.

unless I’m wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

You can make 4k per 24 hours if you collect and sale every item on the map....it takes forever, but worth a couple runs.  The more you do it the quicker you can do it.  I think on my 4th day of doing each and every item...I got it down to 6 hours.   If you take your time setting up the map by going through each list for items you do not need, you can cut down a lot of time.  You can also just focus on coins and jewelry and make less but it will take way less time.

You get no gold from collector, but its by and far the fastest legit money making method.  The xp is also more than almost all other activities.  I ranked up Gunslinger choice to tier 3  in 1 day.

But its a real grind, following a map to over 100 locations, many on cliffs, in caves, or at/near the top of mountains across the entire map is very tedious.  By the 3rd run, I was ready to quit the role entirely.  I have not been able to muster the desire to complete a 5th run.

This was the issue I had. When I hit $100k I realised that I only had 470gb and that figure had only grown marginally if I hit some of the daily collector challenges. Now I still collect but do challenges first. I have more cash than I'll likely ever need sitting on $120k atm.

I figured that is what you meant, just making sure.

I have been doing nothing but collecting. Sold 3 complete collections but have spent the last couple weeks filling my satchel with 10 of everything. Old habit form GTA of filling everything to capacity at least once. Will finish it by the weekend, just going a couple hours every day after work. I didn't play from Jan until this update so I was pretty far behind. I've caught up in rank, cash and gold nicely.

As has been said, concentrate on coins as priority one, followed by earrings, rings and necklaces.  If you use the search function on that map, separating search terms with a semicolon, you can use it to only display what you need for completion of a given set.

Keeping the cripple working while you're at it is worth it if you enjoy hunting.

Undoubtedly trader if you have 6 or more trading friends.

Very roughly:

It takes 200 minutes to produce100 units to sell (is that correct?)

Long sales is approx. 10/12 minutes with 1 leader and 6 posse members.

Around 110/120 minutes including joining sessions etc for 7 sells and 80 minutes for mats and supplies

Sale goes for 625$, helping 312$ (?) = 2.497$ every 3h20minutes.

You should watch some of the TheProfessional's RDRO videos on how to best do this.
