Even though the name of the gun is m1899, suggesting a model year of 1899, it would not bar them from making sense in online. I've heard people say that the model name means it would not have been in existence during the timeline of online (as some believe online takes place in 1898 or earlier), but I believe the online takes place in the same year as SP: given that Sean is separated from the gang, and what he says when he meets the online character. Therefore, it makes no sense that they are not in online. Hopefully I cleared up what I meant to say . Edit: Also just noticed, are those rocking the short barrel? If so, I approve! kcole4001 Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 (edited) The long barrel looks good on the LeMat, otherwise it looks like a .38 Special because of the bulky cylinder & frame, but the other revolvers look phony. I put those mods on my Navies, but didn't really like the look, and the LeMats are my favorite anyway, stats be damned. The Mauser isn't bad, as there were long barrel versions made and used relatively extensively. Puff it doesnt matter folks !!! rockstar already screwed it up with the carcano as it seems they recreated the 1938 version instead of the accurate 1891 one... of course, that doesnt give pass to huge anachronistic stuff, i guess there should be reasonable limits there, like not introducing automatic rifles or pistols from the first world war era. So yeah, in that regard they should never bypass the 1907 period... which means semi auto rifles like the remington 8 or the winchester 1905-07... thats it. There isn't anything stopping R* from a timeline jump and advancing the gameplay to 1910 (original Red Dead Redemption). Locations, story missions and stranger missions would change with update. All nickel, with ebony grips. I’ll admit it looks even better with black ornamental engravings, but well, I’m not sure if I’ll still think it looks good after a while, there’s always a chance I’ll get sick of it and revert back to all-black with wild cherry grips. Instead of shooting like a baby rifle I would squeeze out spreads of shots and suchlike. I upgraded way to the small fast end and this pair of Semi-Automatic Pistols are a lot easier on my arthritis - especially on gun spinning tricks and the quick draw. Dark Spark Posted July 12, 2021 Share Posted July 12, 2021 Long barrel on a Cattleman is fine, in my opinion, knowing that the long barrel happens to be the same length as the short barrel on the Navy. Restarting my character resulted in the loss of the Tempered Steel option for my guns, and I've made due resorting to Brass for frame/receivers on the long guns and Browned Steel for handgun frames. From what I remind its somewhat better than the mauser overall, but still pretty much back in speed to the semi auto, correct me if I am wrong. The revolvers will always perform worst, its just how it its. Here accuracy and fire rate is all, considering most weapons kill with one headshot, so its really not a based take from them if its the case.
