My semi-auto. I have two identical ones, but they’re both clubs. Thanks for that Rockstar :)

Springfield Rifle.

Undecided if I prefer this over my Bolt Action, but it kinda feels like it packs more 'Umph'

Due to the metals being on offer, I put my Springfield in all black. Said it was gonna cost 6 gold.. But i only got charged 3...

Ah, I didn't know that. I thought it was odd because I got some medium range kills from my horse after this. I just saw the slugs had more accuracy and assumed they were better.

Now we have gun lockers I've set myself a target of owning every gun in the game but upgrading and using them for a while, not just buying and putting them in the locker. Bought the double barrel shotgun today so I'll try swapping the ammo depending on range and see if it helps.

Shotgun shells are basically little cups filled with a dozen or so small lead balls. When fired, the balls all spread out in different directions. A shotgun slug is basically a giant rifle bullet, so there’s only one. Shells lose power over range because the little pellets/balls spread out far enough that only a few hit their target if the target is too far out. Slugs are less useful up close because a tight spread of pellets from a shotshell will have more mass behind it and a larger hit area. Slugs really only exist to bridge the gap between shotshells and a proper rifle, and are mostly only used as a backup load whilst hunting when you only want to carry one gun.

The wolf carving is a beaut.

Yeah they need more carvings added, love some of the ones we have but more variety would be nice, same with engravings.

They do. I would love a Wolf carving for revolvers, but closest I can get is a Puma.

It's funny you mention revolvers, I was only thinking about the rifle carvings as I don't think I've used any of the revolver ones myself as none of them outside of the scorpion do much for me so I tend to forget about them. The schofield variant from the BH role is along the lines of stuff I'd love added, larger designs like that, and more intricate ones would be nice.

Alas, I think the Navy Revolver is not going to be getting much use. It has the slow reload speed of a LeMat, but has three (or four) less shots before you have to begin that reload.

Looks purtty, but no. That ain't gonna cut it & I'm keepin' mah LeMats.   :/   Having dual LeMats is having a third six shooter AND a sawed off . .  .

The new 1851 has easily replaced my 1873 as my main sidearm. I’ve mine done up like the real thing [blued barrel and cylinder, browned frame hammer and trigger, brass trigger guard, walnut grips] I absolutely adore muzzle loaders. I don’t care if by 1898 the Colt Navy was outdated disposable crap, I love it. Wish I could post pics

I don't use sidearms that much (mostly for challenges), but I'll be getting one, since the one I have is all bloody lol. I like the look of it, and even though it's not an exact match, it's close enough to the 1860 Army.

Wait.. I've been using the serial killer revolver I unlocked in GTAO on Thursday thinking that was the navy revolver lol (cool gun BTW, makes a hell of a bang but reloads pretty slowly).

I'm guessing the navy is in the catalogue? And is it the same (re-skin) of the serial killer one?

Well technically the serial killer ones is a reskin, but yeah 😛

I'm actually really enjoying the Navy revolver, really punchy sound/feel and seems pretty accurate, gonna use these for quite a while I think. Looks wise really digging them too, but like the cattleman I can't do extended barrels on them, they're too long as it is.

I like the new revolvers. I love the look of them with the extended barrel and I LOVE the sound. They replaced my LeMats so I'm 6 bullets and 2 shotties short but I'm enjoying using the,.

Yes it is the same gun, except the Lowry Revolver has all the upgrades attached (it can't be upgraded at the gunsmiths).

Now I'm duel wielding these bad boys!

Is there a huge difference between the Navy and the Cattleman? Kinda have a hard time parting with my trusty Cattleman's.

Been trying out the cloth wrap on guns that I don't care for how the leather wrap looks, primarily my rolling block. It's not bad, waiting to see what I think of the final two colors though (black and red), rocking the cream atm but it's a bit bright for my tastes.

The Navy is easily the better gun.

The black one is called Ash and, as the name would suggest, it's more of a grey than black. The red wrap is a bright blood red.

I really like the cloth wraps, the more rugged, home made style suits my character better than the leather ones.

E: Has anyone successfully removed engraving from their weapons? The game won't currently allow me to do it.
