Spider-Vice
Because of the volume of threads asking the same thing, let's use this thread to get advice on whether you will be able to run Red Dead Redemption 2 on your PC, or not. Remember that the game isn't released yet, so no one can tell specific optimisation tips. This thread is NOT for discussion about the specs themselves. Use this thread for that. A reminder of the game's PC specifications: Maxxeine, kubon352, RogueMango and 7 others 10 GTANet | Red Dead Network | 🌲 black lives matter | stop Asian hate | trans lives = human lives the beginning is moments ago, the end is moments away
El Dorado
If you want some general comparisons regarding your hardware vs minimum or recommended specs, check https://www.userbenchmark.com/ click on compare and enter models of cpu and gpu for example, comparing the minimum gtx 770 to the recommended gtx 1060, the 1060 is about 56% faster on general benchmarks or a gtx 970, a still very popular card: 39% faster than the 770 and 12% slower than 1060 silly_nate
md_rayan
Here's what I think these system requirements are for: Minimum Specs: CPU: i5-2500K / FX-6300 GPU: GTX 770 / R9 280 RAM: 8GB For 1080p, ~30fps at console (PS4) level graphics settings or slightly better. Recommended Specs: CPU: I7-4770K / Ryzen 5 1500X GPU: GTX 1060 / RX 480 RAM: 12GB For 1080p, ~60fps at console (PS4) level graphics settings or slightly better. What's PS4 level graphics settings, you ask? We don't know yet. I'm planning on finding out what's PS4 equivalent settings on PC once it's out. I'll update this post as soon as I know. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Since I'd said I'll update this post once the PC version is out: Here's the video I just made showing optimal/PS4-level settings for the best bang for the buck visual/performance. Using console equivalent settings as baseline usually works best as it has visual features that devs think suits best to showcase their games on consoles, and also these settings do not have a large hit to performance for very little visual gain, as it is mostly the case, when you select Ultra-Uber settings. Hope this video helps. Edited November 7, 2019 by md_rayan Geisterfaust, boomboom5950 and Sunstellar

You can of course but don't expect stable framerate. In any case you can adjust graphics options as you prefer so it shouldn't be a problem at all. I regret not waiting for the 8700k as it was literally 3 months after i purchased my 7700k that they came out. but at the time my motherboard had died and so had my graphics card because of a shotty PSU (rookie mistake) and i wasn't sure if my 3770k had survived. I tried just using a cheap laptop with a gtx960m in it for a while but i missed the master race.
