2X Missions pretty empty last night

2x contact missions are about the worst 2x you can get. Stick to inside track money is way better than any 2x

Wish I could get better luck joining some original contact missions on call. Past couple days I've been getting nothing but the newer Simeon missions. Try and start los Santos connection in free roam, but not many takers.

It's funny because the Repo aren't really new; the Casino missions are. Well, they're the most recent. I don't even see Dispatch that much, either. It's almost always Repo and they get boring and repetitive extremely quickly.

Yeah, It´s a shame that you can only start the oldies using the menu, even in quick jobs it´s hard to join one

Yeah I still get a kick out of doing it the old contacts. Its fun to take out an old school car  on the missions for nostalgia, but if I get 3-4 people on the mission, at least 2 people spawn in with either a mk2 or a deluxo, and run through the objectives. If I see them fly off,  I just drive down to the beach and mess around with the jetski or bmx.

I'm on PS4. If anyone's down to do some contact missions I'm up for some. I have a couple old playlists.

Wish we were on the same platform--you can always count me in for The Los Santos Connection.

Was actually surprised how much money Time to Get Away pulls in--$38k.

I'd love to play missions with people to help them but I don't want to waste my time getting kicked because some baby dick is intimidated by an 11 KDR, so you ain't gonna be seeing me in any lobbies anytime soon 😝

Solo contact missions FTW--unless you know the people you're playing with.

I've enjoyed just doing some solo contact missions like Time to Get Away and Denial of Service, but spawning Dubsta 2s and other NPC-modded vehicles first for some extra cash.

This 100%

I've made a GTAO career on multiple characters spawning Dubs, VIP work and double $/RP contact Missions.

Oh, and Client Jobs, too. All in invite only sessions. No need to run the in game businesses. Just my opinion and playing style. (As drama free as possible, lol)

Truth to be told, since R* introduced communism with equal pay contact missions should have been 2x on monthly basis. A lot of these missions are too low-paying to interest players in the long run, although it could be fun to play with friends. With randoms as a money making method? Forget about it. There are much better and funnier options.

I've managed to make about 2 million for a few hours of 2x mission. more than I can make on by business missions per minute. Only the Simeon missions are showing up on the phone, other than random missions and a heist or 2. I'm having luck with Simply going to the simeon icon and start it, I did join others that way.

This company makes no f*cking sense. To be honest, at this point, I wouldn’t even be surprised if they also removed Rooftop Rumble

Imagine this happening in 2014? Back there this mission was the go to farming ground, good times. Right now most of the players don't even suspect how legendary this thing was. I do think that Online in 14-15 was at its peak: current gen remaster then PC release and heists. After that, it's was a descent to grinding and freemode business. 2017-2019 are the worst years for the game IMO: orbital cannon, Mk2 then rigged casino.

Gunrunning was a good idea on paper, but the execution was terrible.

Not only kickstarted the dumb arms race that increased the power creep each update, it also had one of the worst unlock systems ever in the form of Bunker Research, until Arena War brought an even worse one, that is.

GR and the Bunker research was the point that it became very clear just how much of the game was being designed with the sole purpose of selling Shark Cards and game play was an after thought, we all thought it couldnt get much worse, but then like you pointed out, they said, here, hold my beer and released Arena Wars.

Well said.

A videogame should be a game first and a product second, not backwards.

Shame it's the inverse for several "games" nowadays.

We all agree they are a business and need to make money, its just how they go about doing it.

Its just not just games anymore ,  look at the new trend in software , everything is moving to the subscription model.   For the mean time, a lot are still offering the option to outright buy, but I see that changing soon.

^^ I question how many people are thrilled with "subscription" anything in the long-term; especially when it means handing over control and results in lost time, screwed up settings, significant changes and "feature" sets no-one asked for, forced updates, more invasive telemetry, etc.

Windows 10 is a prime example of marketing BS (amounting to OS dictatorship) that, in time, is going to bite the dust--as it should. Microsoft thinks that having "no accountability" to their users means success. They couldn't be more ignorant:

Open source smartphones are already out, and there are alternative operating systems that (again, in time) will provide good solutions to the increasingly caustic and invasive attitudes and direction of companies too big for their britches.

Gaming is no different. I believe Leslie Benzies (if he gets it right) has the capability and know-how to put Rockstar in their place in the gaming world.

There were a ton of casino Cheng mission invites, I think the newer player base is unaware of the less intensive and less frustrating OG missions. Lucked out into a good 5 person group that were doing the 6 player contact playlist. Easiest money ever.

Doesn't get much better than a rotation of A Titan of a Job and The Los Santos Connection, among others.

We've been grinding for six years. Pretty much sick to death of it all.

In all this time any company would  have created new map. Hell, Just Cause add new islands in most dlc.

Only in 3 did they add in cut content as dlc in two islands.

That is a good question,I am not personally a fan of the sub model for software.

Yeah,I hate this "dictatorship" style MS have took to a new level with Windows 10.

The Wandering Hunter

mcs and bunkers pay a lot more than contact missions, and they were doubled last week

Yeah I basically always play the contact missions solo or with just my wife when she decides she wants to get online with me. Playing with randoms is a good way to fail missions as eventually someone always blows up the objective because explosions are fun.

I did take advantage of the double money missions a bit, but I was also stuck with getting the Doomsday jobs done as I left the game for a while before that DLC hit so I had to play catch up.

The real problem is Rockstar's inflation of the economy though. There is finally some content in the game that can allow a player to keep up with cost, but even at double money the contact missions aren't really it. They're good and easily the least fatiguing content to play (read "fun"), but they are not the fastest way to build cash by any means. At this point the contact missions really should be double money all the time, and when we get a double money event for them we should be seeing a 4x payout compared to what they are now. What also hurts a double money contact mission event is the fact that there really isn't that many new missions. Most of these have been with us since the game launched and veteran players can do most of these in their sleep. So "meh" payout plus retreading familiar ground for a week = not a ton of participation.

That said I still grind contact missions even when they are not double money because you actually get some variety in your gameplay vs freeroam grind, but yeah. Payout is abysmal. I can play for an hour and make a little north of 100k in missions, or I can make the same money in 10 min selling a vehicle in freeroam. It's no contest. When you own biker businesses  plus import/export, special warehouse, bunker, night club, keep those sell missions on rotation. You end up with the same dichotomy vs missions even when missions are double money.

Oh yeah everyone's equal right? No wonder why regular Soviet citizens drove around in economy cars while the ruling party leaders drove around in big luxury sedans. Many regular people struggle to get by in communist countries while the party elite (so much for no classes) live in luxury. Yeah everyone's equal alright.

At least with capitalism YOU can work to move yourself upward.

Oh yeah, and if it wasn't for capitalism this game and virtually all other video games wouldn't exist. You're welcome.

If contact missions were more based on meritocracy(aka rewarding efficience and celerity rather time/spent in game), R* wouldn't have made the horary multiplier so important for c.m.

Long story short, a strong base payout of 20k will always be more profitable than the actual system.
