2X Missions pretty empty last night

With the 2x missions up, I thought there would be a lot of people playing (a good 20k-30k for only 5 minutes) like in the past. Instead, I found it mostly empty instead. Every few actually playing them. After struggling to find players, was able to play a few rounds at least, got to a point, where I just couldn't find anyone playing them and just gave up. It is that few players playing now a days?

Yes and no. Lots of people still playing the game but they pretty much ignore anything that doesn't involve grinding or killing in free roam.

I give up grinding up to this game, it's because I have over 20 million and there's nothing I can do to have fun. I pretty much tried everything.

Not to mention, there are so many great games that are releasing nowadays.

Just today, the launch of Modern Warfare alone could have some players focus on that.

I would assume the other half is just focused on Red Dead Online.

Only new updates will bring in the players back.

Yes it is. Nothing lasts forever though. I'm patiently awaiting part 6 as well.

I see everyone and their grandmother doing Repo or Dispatch missions. You get no diversity because all you get are Repo/Dispatch missions on the voting screen.

There were a ton of casino Cheng mission invites, I think the newer player base is unaware of the less intensive and less frustrating OG missions. Lucked out into a good 5 person group that were doing the 6 player contact playlist. Easiest money ever.

I saw a few standard type mission (heist), but so few 2x ones (like only 2 posted). On pc. I would assume playstation and xbox, has a larger group playing. That mod menu cheat still got me pissed at dumbstar, because they will not pull it's admin rights from it. (aka do some coding to the game).

 

I've got a bad feeling. the pc version of red dead 2 will be riddled with cheating (and extreme op things) and dumbstar will do ZERO to fix it, just like now.

I've had no issues finding jobs on call, aside sh*t players of course, lol.

 

Although I do enough co-op on heists so I do enjoy doing contact missions alone more often than not. Plus I'm way past the point of money meaning much so joining randoms that use Oppressors and such to soar through jobs is a big reason I prefer no randoms too.

 

I wanna shoot some bandits too. ☹

So maybe this is more of a question for the gta6 thread but...

will gta(5) online just be abandoned upon release of gta6.

 

Obviously people may still play, mainly those who dont have gta6 but will rockstar forfeit any money to be earned in favour of devoting their energy into gta(6) online?

i think V/Online will be around..,

it'll probably coexist with VI/Online..,

if some of the things discovered by those who can swim in code have been guessing as of late..,

and even if so.., people will still be able to play..,

long as r* keeps it stable.., i crash more that a drunkard with limitless money on a monster pc

 

edit: while not hugely possible.., I wouldn't doubt it if they had the idea cross through their minds of adding a small bonus to previous players..,

Well people might more often than not prefer to do the missions alone or with friends they can directly communicate with.

 

Playing with randoms is the extra super secret hard mode because they run around with rocket launchers and oppressors and deluxos blowing everything up including mission objectives and then act like they did nothing wrong and why they failed.

 

Those would also be the "game told me to" when they destroy cargo.

 

That and the Repo/Dispatch missions take a strange priority over other contact missions in the voting screen. Sure they pay real good, but people want variety.

I have made a playlist of missions where i can snipe the enemies. I i did these missions with randoms they would mess up my process and just zerg every mission. So i do It solo. Sorry, but my money farm playlist, if done right makes more money and is less stressful if you do it solo with sniper rifle.

I got "Begehrt " ( "Coveted") on the voting screen? Thought this mission is gone years ago. Saw also Crystal clearout III earlier. But both werent on double.

Last night was better, Most of the time, there was some people playing. Made a few hundred thousand. And I see the Simeon Burn Rate STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED, and will sometime never end after all the enemies are dead. SAD.

Those were only removed temporarily; they are still in the game.

 

They are just hard to find... you have to know where the mission trigger is on the map and approach it at the right time of the day/night. I believe you also can't have Missions hidden in the menu.

What in the actual ever living cluster f*ck? Never seen that before. And yeah, Trollstar, for some bizarre unspecified reason, removed some great contact missions (Chemical Extraction, Potshot, Coveted, CCIII, etc.). Chemical Extraction they actually removed not once, but twice! I honestly don’t know what they’re trying to do. They can only be played through playlists people have made, or through the voting screen (which is very rare), and I find it quite interesting that despite being classed as contact missions, they’re not double pay. I don’t see how the removed missions aren’t eligible for double pay. Why would the fact that they are now only playable through playlists affect that? 
 

This company makes no f*cking sense. To be honest, at this point, I wouldn’t even be surprised if they also removed Rooftop Rumble and Los Santos Connection out of the blue for good measure and made them only playable via playlists. That’s just how low this company has gone.

Honestly, I would totally settle for the old, removed contact missions as new DLC content.

those removed missions always had a chance to appear in votescreens, just no idea what actually triggers it. after you do one tho, then other votes come with more of those missions. sometimes it even gets bugged to such extent that you get 6 votes with the same mission like factory closure/coveted etc.

the current vote system sadly got messed up with those new dispatch/repo and even casino(r* wtf?) missions. so you get thrown into the loop of same garbage or dropped to freemode after casino ones... the old vote cycle allowed you to stay on well paid missions easily, it usually gave most missions from same contact. now you can do mission for someone like trevor, then you get 2 trash missions for simeon + bunch of repo/dispatch. they really need to leave old contact missions in their own category and create new one for others.

Solo contact missions FTW--unless you know the people you're playing with.

 

I've enjoyed just doing some solo contact missions like Time to Get Away and Denial of Service, but spawning Dubsta 2s and other NPC-modded vehicles first for some extra cash.

I hardly have time to play because of work scheduled.  But for me I love anything that has to do with cars.  I was hoping for Sumo Remix on double payouts.  The other event with the Ruiner 2000 taking massive jumps to gain a good position was something that I play a lot.  But with no double payouts on those modes they are dead.  

 

I now depend on the weekend hooking up with friends and banging out a playlist filled with RPG Vs. insurgents and some racing.  I do think there is a lot of competition for GTA Online out there right now, including their own RDR Online.   But I still am addicted to this game.  I don't see it going out till a GTA 6 comes into the picture.
