Bad Sport and why is it different like on a friend

Heyho. I have a big question. 

 

A friend kills random players often, but try never to overdo it because of bad sport. But even he gets to that part he become (in german zwielichtig) the part before bad sport, he keeps the head down. 

 

Now to my question:

 

I play differently and only kill people for bounties and missions and stuff like that. Sometimes i destroy the car, because he jumps out and still the rocket fly to him. Kills him in the process, but still can pay for the car. The other way iw just fight back opressors and stuff. But i try to barly do it. 

 

But still, i become easy the part before bad sport and now even bad sport on ps4. 

 

My KD is like 1,15 (just to show you, i am no troll and destroy nothing for no reason), still my friend can do whatever and even can destroy cars like nothing but he is not even "zwielichtig" for a long time. On my side:

 

I am good sport. Get the 2000$ and all. Just kill two mk2 because they hunt me and i fought back. And already again  i am on the thing before bad sport. Sometimes i even a good sport and just go offline. Go like 20 min later online again and plop, zwielichtig again. Why is this? It's annoying. I feel like, other can do whatever they want and i am beeing like the hated guy for playing normal and beeing fast even in bad sport now. Is it, because it's the same social club account i play on pc?

 

I mean, there is no bad sport on pc and i fight even aggresssivly back, because i am annoyed by these griefers and that they destroy my car while cruising. Can it be, that my account is still labeled as bad sport because of that? 

 

Sry for my bad english... I can't concentrate right now. I feel like back in school. When i punches somebody once back, that he already beat the crab out of me and the teacher gives me detention. Even i am just a bloody mess and he laughes about it, because he get no detention. 

 

I don't get it. Why people like my friend has no worries, and i get all the problems even i just fighting back? The system is f*cked up. I wished, they would remove the bad sport system. I mean, trolls and scumbags know there way arround to get not in the bad sport lobbies... And beeing always passiv is no way for it. I want to drive arround without beeing passiv. This beats the meaning after a online game....

Your friend probably has an older or more used account than you (nah that's not it)...

My explanation might not be correct, but there's various tunables or stats along the lines of "BADSPORT_THRESHOLD", "BADSPORT_THRESHOLD_NOTCHEATER" and "BADSPORT_RESET_MINUTES" which might have something to do with it. Very simply said, the reason you have the issues your friend doesn't have, is because the values for these things mentioned might be lower for yourself than your friend. 

 

I think everyone has the same sort of values when they're fresh to the game, but as time passes and their playstyle develops, these numbers (may) change, which could be why someone is able to destroy 20 vehicles before a "Dodgy Player" status, whereas someone else is only able to destroy 2.

Sadly not. I have my account since the start on ps3 and transfered mine to ps4. My friend startet later on ps3 and made with the same social club account a new one on ps4 like 1 1/2 Year ago. He could not transfer his character because rockstar did not let him. And since the opressors, i had to destroy them from time to time. Before that, i was always good sport. Never even had once beeing a dodgy player before that, because i could more easy shoot these guys out of the deluxo. It was much easier to get them. 

If these stuff changed, what you talking about, then why mine changed that dramatically that way? I am still just trying to avoid other vehicles on ps4...

 

The first time i got on the bad sport lobby where, because two mk2 attacked me, i had a mk2 for the first time myself and i just got rid of him. This day i even got from "good sport", to dodgy player, because they did not stop getting after me. I killed them both for the first time and already i was dodgy. Then i fly away and as they follow me (i fly arround the map to shacke them and loosing my tail, after like 10 min i killed them again (most mk2 pilots don't know to use them properly) and i killed them again. So 4 mk2 at all and i was bad sport.... I got passiv then and they start to write me sms: Noob! Can't do anything. You are so bad and need to use passiv! 

 

.... I was very frustrated in a way. And since then it went on this fast. This is like half an year ago and with yesterday, i am like the third time in the bad sport lobbies. That is annoying af. I just don't get it. I play the game like for 6 years now and where never bad sport. This year suddenly changed everything.

Yeah my post thoughts on the reasons for it might not even be right either, there could be some other factors overseeing it. 

It's a nuisance that you can get bad sport points for defending yourself and really anything that's weaponised or armoured should, in my opinion, be exempt from the whole insurance / bad sport systems, but anyway that's not likely to happen. 
 

Is your friend taking part in activities or receiving commendations for being helpful or friendly more frequently? 
You'll receive bad sport points for leaving jobs without completing them. On the other hand, it's suggested that gaining JP (job points) decreases the likelihood of getting the Dodgy Player status and Bad Sport. I dunno if that's accurate, but you could mix in some jobs / contact missions to see if that works, and ask other players to commend you as that should help. 

Some numbers for those things I reported - remember these could change and may be different for you, but what I'm seeing is:

Bad Sport Threshold is set at 50 - I guess this means that currently, there's 50 player-owned personal vehicles that I need to destroy to get into a Bad Sport lobby. 

Bad Sport Threshold Non Cheater is set at 45 - I guess this is the number of player-owned personal that I need to destroy to get the 'Dodgy Player' status.

Bad Sport Reset Minutes is set at 30 - I've no idea what this is about, but perhaps the thresholds above reset every 30 minutes and check how many vehicles you've destroyed in that time, to perhaps set new values for those. 

 

Bear in mind this is for someone who only keeps to themselves and doesn't do any PvPing, so it could be that the numbers are different player-to-player.
Ideally, if I'm right in the above, what you'd need to do is stay under your own threshold so that you can't be considered for the Dodgy Player status leading up to Bad Sport, but you'll have to keep a close eye on the player status as there's no way to track these numbers AFAIK. 

 

On a sidenote, the values for the number of days you spend in Bad Sport is easy enough to work out - it just doubles every time up to a maximum of 1024 days, I kid you not. 
1st offence = 2 (days)

2nd offence = 4

3rd offence = 8

4th offence = 16

5th offence = 32

6th offence = 64

7th offence = 128 (a bit over 4 months)

8th offence = 256 (something like 8 and a half months)

9th offence = 512 (almost one year & 5 months)

10th offence = 1024 (2 years, 10 months basically)

I do often races. He is almost only on lobbies and do stuff like killing people.... And the first two times i got like 2 days and on the third time got 4 days bad sport lobby.... Maybe my account is glitched? I mean, it will not take the kills from the pc version because of the social club, right? I am so confused by now.... 

 

Edit: Races is my most done activities and i also beeing often in like the first three places. I have a race statistic like 600 wins, to 1500 losses. Because even second place count as loss. I sometimes get kicked because of this (gettim first place over and over again sometimes), but i think this happens much to rare...
