I think it mainly has to do with PC. As they seem to have the most problems with, and adding the modder infestation. I remember when it was 3 strikes and you’re out. Now it’s 2. Safe to say I think they’re starting to get tired of it imo.

People seem to forget that GTAO was not created to be what it is now from the start. It was supposed to be like the original Red Dead Online but better. They didn't expect it to take off like it did so the "anti-cheat system" they have built is sh*t and built on sand. RDO was built from the ground up with GTAO's success firmly in mind.

Happened on console as well.  Logged into gtao and some bell end dropped close to a billion dollars on me.  Took 3 weeks for rockstar to remove the money and they never corrected my stats to match. 

 

They let loads of people get away with what they'd spent as well instead of just removing the full glitched amount and leaving them to work off the debt.

I don't think that would be classed as boosting. You are making an assumption to back up saying that everyone is guilty of it. Being in the same posse as someone doing a delivery to get some payout is not boosting. They obviously designed it that way. They want to encourage people playing together in posses and this is a bonus you get for doing it. The same for bounties. If you're in a posse with someone doing a bounty then you are restricted with what you can do while the bounty is being done. So you can't go off doing exactly what you want and getting the bounty payout for free. If you tied your stick together and stayed at your camp for 12 hours while someone did bounties then that would be boosting.

You know how petty R* is. My scenario might be a little extreame but they are petty.

Remember the guy from these forums that got his account permanently reset to zero because he propped his controller to not get kicked and streamed it to his phone so he could watch it from work? He was in a solo session, keeping an eye on his bunker. Thats how petty R* is.

It's not, and neither is what you described. The 'actual" source is a support question asking about "third party" provided account boosting/recovery service.

 

Question: Can a Rockstar Games Social Club Account be suspended or banned for participating in a “money lobby” or other third-party provided account boosting/recovery service?

I get overly paranoid about this stuff.

 

Like I say, "OK, is me knowing that a cougar spawns here and riding my Hunting wagon down the road, then coming back and killing it again, going to get me banned?" I'm sure it isn't stuff like that, though. For one thing, the cougar ranges from poor to perfect quality, plus it doesn't seem to have an exact respawn time. I still only do stuff like that when animal spawns are otherwise totally busted.

RDR2 PC Online is BROKEN now! Cheater are dominating the game!! I meet at least one every time i play!! All from god mode to teleporting, to dude killing entire map.

I have been playing RDR2 Pc online since its launch and have played thro many bugs, disconnects, and a varity of problems . I stuck it out and have had many encounters with Hackers  cheaters including but not limited to... me and horse blowing up,  being continually shot from invisible people,,  shot with a volcanic pistol from so far away they wernt even on my radar screen ,, riding along on horse and bursting into flames,, being dragged out of your session and ending up somewhere off map surrounded by dead people and horses with no way to leave  … the list goes on and on  BUT the topper is I was in my camp Monday and out of nowhere a naked woman figure showed up with the name of I SELL GOLD and she spawned a treasure chest that gave money and gold  it stayed there for awhile and after running a mission it would close and give out stuff again  . I had no idea of what it was or if it was some type of bonus and I opened it a few times  and TODAY I WAS SUSPENDED  has anyone else seen this  I have pictures of the scene but didn't post them as figured nudity was not allowed  so heads up IF a naked woman shows up at your camp  RUN  do not fall for it …..by the way I was on level 138 and had 9000 dollars and 129 gold which I earned without cheating and almost 5 months of playing …..

I'm sorry you got suspended.  However, you do state all of the bugs and hacks you have seen playing since PC launch, so you must have known at rank 138 there is no naked lady giving free gold in the game.  I don't want this to come off the wrong way, I actually applaud you for not coming here and saying you were "Wrongly" banned as many before have done(and some prbably were).  Lesson learned for the future I'm sure.  How long are you suspended for?

30 days  .. I was just was wondering if anyone else had this happen ...I should have known it was a hack  ..dumb on my part  but with outlaw pass they give out lots of extras etc  and besides she was good lookin LOL..I play the game fair ,never start a gunfight with other onliners but always happy to engage if they start it and play fair I have enjoyed it a lot ...many hours of playing but to be honest I really hope they can crackdown on the BS happening it takes a lot of fun out of it . I play several hours aday as now retired due to my loss of vision  ..I miss a lot of details but still have fun  just kinda disappointed to have to start all over again

wow I wish I had saw that last week LOL  its all good ..stuff happens just hate to start over  I did start closing game when odd stuff starts happening which is daily and sometimes more than once aday  1 question is can any of the hacking affect my PC  as I just spent over 4 grand on pc and would hate to screw it up

Did they wipe your money/gold as well, or just give a suspension?

If it's only a 'time out' it's not so bad.

 

Got teleported and dropped in some water with a wagon, a naked woman standing on the wagon, and a bunch of other players while I was riding west to look for a loon.

I quit right away, but I wish this crap would be stopped.

not sure but would guess reset is on its way along with the  30 day time out  and my posse member got the boot also we were playing from my camp when all this happened

guess we will see in 30 days  ,it makes one nervous to even open stuff now as you have lots of stuff to open when looting camps etc  I have been flooded with bears and cougars on some missions too they show up by the dozens  and once my camp had 14 cripps figures in it  I haven't cheated and wouldn't cheat I mean if you got to cheat to advance whats the point ...I don't even use the cheats in storyline

I was playin yesterday with a posse and one of them on a Discord call told us that "he got money and gold today from modder who spawned treasure chests". Warned him about the possible ban. We will see if it happens.

Yeah, I used to AFK in the catalog when I had to break and pick up my wife from work, (took usually 15 minutes or less) but I won't do it now.

 

Not so much because of treasure chests, I just won't open anything that doesn't seem legit, but if they can take your money/gold or even more likely: teleport you and do all kinds of stupid crap.

 

I put in a lot of hours to get where I am, as have everyone else here, and I don't find it amusing to have it at risk because of some dickheads.

 

Even more to blame is R*/T2.

They should really be ashamed of themselves.
