Bakkerbaard
I've come across this random encounter, like all y'all probably, where two folks are arguing and the one pops the other. Most recently across from the Valentine butcher. Am I supposed to so anything with this or is it just an easy-loot before I move on? kcole4001

Bakkerbaard
Too bad. In Valentine the winner went: "That's it! Anybody else wanna take me on?" And I figured my odds would be acceptable with a round of buckshot, but he just barreled off on a horse.
Foxwolfe
Yeah they're kinda interesting in that it almost feels like there could be more to them, but I haven't been able to figure it out if so. The one that stuck out to my mind was in Valentine also (though I've seen these duels at least 10 times by now) on the other side of the stable from the location you saw, and the lady that won was a self proclaimed bounty hunter. After she won I walked over to loot the dead body not thinking about it and the bounty hunter starts to get loud with me talking about that it's her kill or something. It kinda threw me off and before I knew it she was picking the body up and leaving but I want to try taking the body if I come across that one again to see what happens (I assume she'll just start shooting me). Bakkerbaard
Yeah, I've seen that one outside Rhodes. I was on my way to something or other, so I mostly just picked up conversation, but judging by voice alone I took her for the lady that introduced us to bounty hunting. Dark Spark
I'm of a mind to try tackling/hogtying/knocking out one person then the other, just to see if that breaks their routine so they both live. Tie 'em, loot 'em, cut 'em free and then run. Bakkerbaard
Coleco
I saw a duel taking place near the tracks at Annesburg, so they happen up there as well. One dropped the other as I rode by on the train, asked if anyone else wanted some and instinctively I gave him a double-barreled response before thinking somewhat guiltily that perhaps I shoulda just been a bit more sporting or at least heard the feller out But that 11 cents and half-empty bottle of gin was kinda useful so kcole4001 and Bakkerbaard

Went back to the first one, cut him loose and he started shooting at me so i killed him. Only got a few witnesses for kidnapping that ran to the sherrif’s office but i didn’t become wanted. Foxwolfe
I keep trying to run inbetween them to see if I can take the shot for the one that loses but I've yet to manage it (not sure if it's even possible lol, every time I get close enough seems to trigger someone firing). I figure I'd snipe one but I never know which one is the "bad guy". Since I always encounter them on the way to something more pressing I don't wanna be bothered with possible law enforcement. Dark Spark
I just encountered a pair in Annesburg and rode my horse in between them to block the fight. The bullet hit my horse, but didn't cause any damage. Moresoever, the intended recipient of that bullet still died as if scripted to.
Caffeination
I witnessed the two dueling pistoleras thrice in Rhodes, and I thought I should do something by killing the victor because it might be honorable, but I lost some instead for ‘murder’. Thankfully, feeding my horse a peach negated that setback. Anyway, once I saw them outside of Blackwater, the pistolera in the skirt won the conflict for once, and she mentioned the law instead of saying a one-liner like the other one in the tailcoat usually does. I thought that I should tie her up and take her to the police station, which I did, but literally nothing happened. I think we were just supposed to witness this scripted event, not participate, perhaps to make the world feel more alive and organic. Too bad that its scripted nature makes it feel inorganic as f*ck, but that’s just my opinion. Edited October 28, 2019 by Caffeination
