Vice Beach
I'm doing a no guns playthrough so I'm hunting with arrows only. Going for the satchel upgrades, I need a perfect beaver pelt. Small game arrows bounce off their heads, poison and regular arrows degrade the 3 star pelt to a 2 star. Haven't tried improved but can't imagine different results. Pulling my hair out because getting beavers in general isn't ever easy as they bolt for the water the second you get close. Any ideas? LeonVegaSuarez
Regular arrows if you headshot them. I've recently tried this because I crafted the beaver saddle on my John savegame. There's usually beavers on the western side of Owanjila. Another good spot is Huron Glen, where the legendary beaver spawns. Small game, rabbits, muskrats, snakes, and ultra large game will not. You might be able to down a black bear with an arrow headshot, improved arrow more likely. But a Grizzly? You’ll be dead before you can bury that 3rd arrow in their head - and if you do somehow survive, it’ll be a ruined pelt.
