Journey_95
I remember some whining about GTA V already and the "toxic" masculinity in it but let's be honest, back in 2013 things weren't nearly as extreme yet. People get offended even more now. I think it's possible GTA VI will be sanitized. Not even Rockstar wants the butthurt of current PC obsessed people Edited October 22, 2019 by Journey_95 Rocketeer

Lotte
I mean, GTA has always kind of had a lot of tonal problems and tends to punch down a bit too often. and most of the complaints against it are pretty valid, but also They've always had part of their marketing work by stirring up controversies? and considering how often dudes tend to go ride or die for things just to 'own the libs' i don't think Rockstar wouldn't take advantage of that (assuming they already aren't doing that somewhat) It's not like the hypothetical people you're describing and the existing GTA fanbase have any, if much at all overlap anyway
Ehrmantraut
I dont see why R* and any other publisher would worry about a few random weirdos on Twitter. Besides its Rockstar, renowned as one of the most controversial videogame companies in the world. While some developers worry about not making controversy, they profit from it. Gentlebreeze
Haven't heard anyone complain about GTA V; maybe because my friends are hip to satire in popular culture.
Ron Horse
I'm guessing it'll be about the same tonally, in that respect. Depending on the era(s) it takes place in, it may not be very prevalent at all. If any studio has their finger on the pulse of what will fly, and what will land them in court, it's probably Rockstar Games. I'm sure there will be the usual tongue-in-cheek jabs at whatever groups, and I think it's a good thing for society to take a step back and laugh at itself a little. ChengizVlad09
No matter what approach R* takes, no matter what they do or even imply, there will always be ' groups ' offened by anything and let's face it, there have never been so many radical PC groups ready to jump in rage on the slightest of the metaphors even. Most of these paid lunatics will attack anything. I kinda understand why it's hard to satirize the ' living ' satire of the real, but one more reason for R* to take a huge dump on everything and everyone. Hope they can learn from South Park, 'coz even if their satire isn't quite in the league of the geniuses that Matt and Trey are, they can at least get the general idea and follow the example. Nothing more than that would suffice. Edited October 22, 2019 by ChengizVlad09 Dock
GTK0HLK
I don't think it will be an issue.., while some say GTA punches down.., is say it's more like GTA punches everything, and itself.., they even make fun of themselves, or let fake representation of themselves act as so, and die in game..,(GTA IV mafia wars friendly ai) if anything.. it'll just sit back and make fun of everyone.., it's neither one side of the other.., (which is why it's ridiculous when people claim it's one or the other..,)
