ZekeyDevine
Okay so, upon scowering the internet, I found another radar map mod which mentioned that the way it functions is by editing the Radar Textures in both the gta3 and txd IMG files. I wasn't aware that there was a second set in the txd IMG. Si I edited all of those ones as well, and well and behold, the new radar files work like a charm...except for one. "radar53" does not work. I've fittled with settings and whatnot, to no avail. Once more, only Portland is actually finished, and even then, it's lego-coloured due to my friend's preference of using bright colours during the building process, before later colour-correcting it to look more natural. Does anybody have even the slightest hint of intel on this issue? Please? Last two posts I've made got no responses. I'm kind of at a loss here. Peas and carrots! UPDATE: Alright, so the issue has been rectified entirely at this point. But to describe the issues in full: Me and my friend are working on a HUD texture pack for Grand Theft Auto III. Basically carefully upscaling the graphics, redrawing what needs to be redrawn, trying to replicate the old style as best as possible, etc. Had no issues for most of it. However, my buddy was redrawing the map to be more in line with Vice City and San Andreas (full colour, as opposed to orange with transparent streets), and upon replacing all of the Portland Radar textures, nothing happened. I eventually learned that Grand Theft Auto III has two sets of radar textures, one in the "gta3.img" file, and one in "txd.img". Once I replaced both sets of Portland radar textures, it finally showed in-game. By that point, I hadn't unlocked Staunton, and that portion of the HD map had yet to be finished, so, as I said, I only replaced the Portland portion of the map with High-Res textures, leaving everything else along. This discrepancy, that is to say, leaving some chunks of the radar alone while editing others, caused certain chunks of the radar to load the older textures. Sometimes these chunks would fix, and load new ones, only for other ones to break. My question to the modding community was basically, "Why are the radar textures behaving this way?" Come to find, my friend decided to finish the landmasses of Shoreside and Staunton, allowing me to complete the map. I replaced ALL of the radar textures and, well and behold. No issues anymore. All in all, I sincerely appreciate the willingness to help a noob like me. But in the end it was a dumb decision I, myself made that was easily rectified by doing things the obvious correct way. 007Ripper
You need to make it a simple question sir, make it clear what your problem is for people to understand. A screenshot will help.
