Holyskin
I wonder how some of the controls are going to work? specifically quick draw dueling - on console at least you slowly squeeze the right trigger until the indicator fills up then take your shot. since keyboards are digital and simply register a on of off state i wonder how they'll get around it. They'd probably have to re-invent a new mechanic for that? player/horse sprinting - most games use left shift as default but since RDR2 has a run and a sprint (usually you spam A; in this case left shift? to sprint) Spamming left shift with your pinky is going to really hurt after a while. ouch. MrQuiche
you can't spam SHIFT tho, i mean you can but there's something that will go in your way if you try to
Spider-Vice
I'm assuming quick draw will work by holding left mouse button given there's no pressure controls on mouse and keyboard. For firing, probably double clicking the left mouse button for cocking and then shooting. GTA V already figured this out. Tap Shift to toggle "Jog mode" on foot, hold Shift to sprint. For the horse, if I'm remembering right you actually have different speeds you can achieve with it depending on how much you tap A/X. I haven't played in a while, but I remember being able to tap the gallop button and then hold it to keep the horse at a certain pace. In much the same way, I was able to keep tapping one of the bumpers to slow down the horse and then hold A to keep it at that speed. I can see this working in much the same way on PC, where you'd only be required to tap Shift a few times and then hold to keep the horse at that speed, likewise for reducing its speed/coming ot a complete halt using another keyboard button. For galloping at full speed however, I'm pretty sure you do have to mash A/X still. Not sure how that will work for the horse on keyboard. If any of that makes sense, I don't know. In MP3, you can't fire a pistol or revolver by letting your finger on the left button, it will fire one bullet and you'll need to let go of it and press it again. Red Dead Rebel
I don't think you'll have spam any key. Just hold/toggle shift to sprint. It's the same on consoles when you switch the control scheme to standard FPS. Edited October 22, 2019 by Red Dead Rebel
MulleDK19
Don't know how they'll tackle the quickdraw. Probably will just be instant. For sprinting. in GTA V you tapped shift to switch from walk to jog, let go to switch back to walk, and held shift to sprint. I hope they add more movement speeds in RDR2, though. Especially since you need to be slow as f*ck to catch wild horses.

Sneaking up on wild horses is a waste of time, you can just lasso them from your horse and climb on them Sneaking up on enemies is ridiculous because you can just full speed first-person crouch walk without alerting anyone. davider
Maybe it will require to tap "W" to speed up, just like tapping A/X on the controllers

Gleeman Vox
Hope that all interactions are tap instead of hold. I just jumped off a cliff because interact is the same button as jump when i was trying to pick up the Condor Egg
Intstringeger
There is also the vibration of the controller to find treasure and clues. They'll need to come up with a different mechanic for KB+M players.

phexitol
Yep. NPCs in various towns should notice the awkward motions of KB+M players and suggest that they buy a gamepad (in hushed whispers). I joke! (mostly, but yeah) Seriously, though, one peripheral I would strongly suggest for those insistent on using KB+M is a good gaming mouse with extra buttons.
