Would you say any of the currently discounted weapons is useless to such an extent that you'd advise me to not buy it at all?

In case you think all of them have their own purpose, then I'd ask you to arrange them in order of usefulness, so I can decide which to buy and which to skip in case I don't have enough money for all of them.

I would say that weapons are separated into classes and if you have a weapon from each class it does not matter which one

Depends on your playstyle.

Do you like dual wielding or keeping it to a single revolver/pistol ?

 

Are you a close quarter type or more the long range stealth warrior ?

 

If hunting a lot then you will need a rifle or a bow as well as a varmint rifle. Unless you don't care about pelt quality at all, then you can just blast em with whatever.

 

I recommend:

 

- Revolvers: Shofield or leMat

- Pistols : Mauser dual or semi auto pistol. Volcanic isn't so bad either.

- Rifles and snipers : Springfield or Rolling Block

- Repeaters : Lancaster ( not a fan of Evans and Litchfield but to each his own)

- Shotguns : Pump action or sawn off for dual wield.

Well there's no sense in owning all of them. As far as rating them goes, it's all subjective. If 25 people reply, you'll get 25 different answers.

If you look up the weapon elimination games that have been played on this forum, you. Should be able to get a pretty good  idea of which guns are generally considered the real duds.

 

For myself, the only guns that I really find I am at a disadvantage when using are the Volcanic pistol (slow), the double action revolver (inaccurate) and the double barrelled shotgun (low ammo).

This is incredible. You are correct. Once again I have read something mentioned in the R* Newswire (in the past few months) wrong. And I usually tend to be a careful reader. Meaning, that the sleaziness of R* is getting out of control... Incredible indeed (at least to me). Have you also noticed that... especially lately - ambiguity all the way!?
