Awww, thats just what we all needed,i can finally stop using those pesky "camera movement mods" which are just broken hacks. Great Work!

What about ginput compatiblity?
Does this has 1:1 controls on mouse and on gamepad? (since i recall some difference between two)

Amazing!

Are you planning to do the SA player camera to III and VC as well? That includes weapon cameras, rotation around the player with the right stick, etc. If all of the previous stuff I mentioned gets implemented then this mod will be a good replacement for classic axis, since this is 1:1 SA camera ported to III (for now) literally. And it looks really good and modern.

Sadly no, I'm not planning that as of right now. It would take longer than this.

- New: SA Rhino and Firetruck turret control, which basically just follows the camera (thanks to @George Costanza for suggestion, bug report or whatever it is)

- Vice City support! You can use same ASI file for both III and VC!

- GInput support... Well, in theory. I couldn't test it. (Edit: Thanks to Ryadica926, it's confirmed that it's supported for real)

- SA zoom values are also ported to III, which is seperate for cars, boats, helis and bikes(ofc you can't use the last one in III)

- A couple of bug fixes

Yes. Because it's hard to read that this plugin is the same San Andreas camera ported to GTA III and GTA VC. So, how will you use it in San Andreas if it exists already there?

Hey! It's me again, thanksfully not triple post this time.

Ryadica926 asked me if I can do a special version with LCS angles and zoom values, since SA and LCS vehicle cameras are basically same (except LCS has some values adjusted).

This does not work for me, it asks me for vcruntime140.dll. There should be a "legacy mode" option somewhere in VS 2017, I think. Also, the player camera would be really great to see considering how things are exactly 1:1 here. And here's another thing, why not include an optional INI file where one can decide which game's zoom values to use? That's a much better idea instead of making two ASIs with different zoom values. And in case if the INI is not present, the code would simply fall back to SA's zoom values.:)

Sorry but I'm not planning to do anything you asked for. Also you can install Visual C++ Redistributable if you want.

Is it just me or is the mouse sensitivity in a vehicle not changed when changing it in the mouse settings in the options menu?

I've also noticed that when using the closest camera angle the lights of the vehicle you're driving don't really show anymore, must be because the camera is too close to the vehicle, also noticed this only occurs during daytime.

Any way to fix either of these if the first is indeed an issue?

(This is on VC, BTW)

Really great mod that I didn't think would actually be possible. The only real issue I encountered is that if you're playing on a gamepad, the Y-axis is reversed (All versions had the same result). https://imgur.com/a/FxwH7wg

Is there any way to aim in cars with the mouse like the GTA SA DriveBy mod or nothing still? It feels great either way, great mod!

 

EDIT: Also, the sensitivity is not transferred from the user settings it seems. It just uses default 100% sensitivity I think.

You guys are right, I didn't care mouse sensitivity setting at all. Will be fixed in next release, thanks!

 

About car lights, I don't think I can do anything.

Wait a minute?... LCS version is out as well? This can't be more perfect. Well until player/ped camera gets implemented someday, until that day, this mod will be the definitive camera mod for old GTA games as GTA3 and GTAVC. Great work.

  • Mouse sensitivity is now tied to mouse sensitivity setting
  • GInput right stick Y-axis inversion is fixed
  • Had to disable SA camera angle for garage exit in III. It wasn't looking well.

How do I install it on my game? I have literally never installed a mod before as I'm a PS4 player but Vice City is one of the only games I have for PC and I would love to be able to play it with a working camera. Help!
