PsychoDad
I havn't played any game of the Red Dead Series. I will probably buy RDR2 when it release next month on PC, but I know nothing about the story from the predecessors. Would you recommend to play Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption first? Compound
I implore you play RDR first. Just like most people I would easily say it's one of the best games by R*. I've played Red Dead Redemption a few times, some of RDR 2 at a friends house (I'll probably play it it more at some point on PC), some Undead Nightmare and no Red Dead Revolver, though I plan to. I personally recommend playing RDR first, basically the GTA IV engine with some enhancements. RDR 2 feels very sluggish and heavy and cinematic at times, its difficult to turn around at times because of how long the animations can be and you're in a rush cause you're being attacked. Obviously that was gonna happen at some point given how much they push for that movie-like experience. Targeted 60fps was nice though. It plays very differently from the first one. I think RDR 2 will probably play a bit better with a mouse and keyboard though. And then of course the story in RDR is great and I'm sure the story in 2 is as well. Several characters from RDR are in 2 so obviously you get a deeper background for them if you play RDR. If you don't have a way of playing RDR you should probably just get 2 rather then trying to wait till you've played the first one, and if you do then I hope you enjoy it. RPCS3 is getting better all the time so you could just wait to play the first one if you don't have a way of playing it otherwise. Hope that helps a little instead of just being confusing I'm sure other people will chime in with better answers too. Outlaws till the end Also the trailer for the PC edition looks goddamn amazing Edited October 18, 2019 by Compound PsychoDad
KarimNTerr
Red Dead Revolver is amazing, its poor definition quality (which was amazing at its time), makes it look like a Trinity movie, and if you're a Spaghetti Western fan you'll recognize a lot of songs on the soundtrack, which features Sergio Corbucci and Sergio Leone themes from their movies composed by Oscar-winner Ennio Morricone among others Red Dead Redemption, is another story tho, and has nothing to do with Revolver. Just a couple references to Revolver protagonist and a fistful of characters you can choose as your multiplayer avatar. Probably the best game I've ever played my whole life along with GTAIV, San Andreas and Metal Gear Solid 3 PsychoDad

Do you know if it is already playable on RPCS3? I have a pretty fast PC (Core i9 9900K, RTX 2080). If not I guess I will play RDR2 first. I recently played the witcher series for the first time and really enjoyed the first two games too. Regarding Red Dead Revolver, I think I will play it later if it's not connected storywise. Compound
Sorry for responding so late. The last time I played RDR on RPSC3 it probably crashed maybe half an hour in. Maybe I'm wrong, don't remember super well but I do know it isn't stable enough to disable autosave. It's definitely still a bit below the PS3 performance wise but not too bad. That has constant framerate dips too. Nice PC btw. I believe Ryzen is a little better for RPCS3 cause of the core count but I'm sure an i9 can handle it well, obviously the 2080 shouldn't have any problems. I would look up "Red Dead RPSC3" and see the most recent benchmarks. Here's one: Looks not too bad now. If you can get the game iso I'd say try it out and see if it runs like this. I'm pretty sure there is no mouse support yet so probably wanna use a gamepad. Good luck PsychoDad
