anything could've happened between July 16, 2019 and March 23, 2020 though. at any time in that frame Take 2 purchased the domain. i am going to look up past history of the gtav.com domain and see what was going on before October 25, 2011

Would imagine they've held ownership of the domain for many years, just not done anything with it, I mean GTA VII is listed there as an owned domain and they won't use that for years

well that was pointless, I guess there was no screenshots showing for gtav.com domain it kept redirecting me from site to site until eventually showing me archives of this site

As the page numbers go up this thread is gonna get locked soon. I think it's like around 980-1000 pages where the forum starts having issues.

Weird, but I can see them announcing two games. It's a mystery what's going to be first, but GTA and Manhunt would shadow all other announcements next generation. Maybe we could get manhunt this gen while we wait 1-2 years for GTA?

Honestly think it’s just the groups style, go look at their instagram. Don’t think it’s game specific. My guess it’s for a GTAO update.

and before someone mentions it again, those numbers do look similar to the numbers on the Manhunt 2 cover. however it is just a filter they used in a mobile design app called PicsArt

i'd say somewhere around 1-2 PM GMT or so if they do announce anything

It can be at any time, R* is very unpredictable. Safe to assume anything between 1pm GMT - 6PM GMT.

I just realized that there's a car called Maxwell Asbo in the new Casino Heists update based on a Opel Corsa. This car is pretty common in South America, if not the most sold car here, named Chevrolet Corsa. There's no reason to have a Corsa in the United States as it was never sold there, so we might be seeing one of the cars that will appear in the next GTA. 

As you guys might have noticed too, the new GTAO cars have a greater polycount, detail and styling, particularly the panel edges that now have an outline instead of, well, nothing, and the front and tail light housings have greater detail instead of a simple texture. Just compare a newly released car to the ones that were remastered for the PS4 release:

 

 

 

Those are the best photos I could find. But you can clearly see that the Asbo has way more detail than the original Blista, and the fact that's a common south american car makes me think that it's probably backported from Project Americas. Again, only speculation..

 

EDIT: Same thing with the Karin Everon. What the hell is doing a  7 gen Toyota Hilux in the US? That's also another common vehicle in south america (the most sold pickup) made in Zárate, Argentina.

You're just trying to convince yourself and I understand that. The truth is that we will all be disappointed if nothing happens. We should just wait patiently for the next 6 days. In any case, as I said before, R* can't re-propose GTAV for the next gen consoles, it is a PS3/xBox360 game after all and it pales when compared to RDR2 (technically, graphically and gameplay-wise).
