It's not a direct financial investment, but certainly an emotional investment from many. That's what feeds this.

definitely not emotionally invested, if nothing happens i'm moving on with my life, and will still be posting in this forum. this whole speculation is fun especially with riddles from a Scottish guy, and it is a nice way to spend your time during this whole thing that is happening around the world right now. in all fairness, people will definitely get pissed when nothing happens and those are the people that just need to realize maybe they shouldn't of looked too much into this whole thing. everyone just needs to take things with a grain of salt on the 25th, especially the angry mobs from Reddit. and I know I might seem like just another March account, but I have lurking this forum for a long time

 

i am still interested to hear from some other users here that were posting in GTA V speculation threads before October 25th, and especially a week or so before it was actually announced. i feel like that is what will drive this thread, taking hints from the past. maybe Rockstar doesn't want us to expect anything, and i'm sure no one was expecting Rockstar to tweet at 6 in the morning after IV released 3 years ago that a trailer will be coming in about a week or so

That's cool and we obviously disagree, but I respect that. As you know I think that the balance of probability weighs very heavily on the 'nothing happening on 25th' but let's see. 

 

Likewise I am starting to feel some resentment towards the way this forum is being run and the way vastly unrealistic expectations are being cultivated by the mods. It is a pernicious way to treat people. It ridicules them and whips up emotion.

We're on lock down in our house due to a member of my family contracting C-19, so it's been me locked in a room with a bottle of scotch and Doom for the last 12 hours! I suppose things could be worse!

Fully agree - although I would add that the 'believers' were played and this isn't okay. Mods serve a purpose and they stepped back and laughed at them.

I'm in a plague bunker too, freshly-painted with lovely antennae. We all are, in our own ways. 

 

At least you have the good scotch. No news, no new news soon too I think for the foreseeable future.

 

In January, who could have thought that this would have been our March?

Some people might like RDR2 and soo, it had a pretty good story but i want that real sh*t. Im not going to bother with online dont wanna be riding horses and soo. I like the gang stuff on gta too like every game check out what gangs there is in the game etc. And hope they dont make it unrealistic as gta online has become, hope its only a online thing...

in the event Rockstar does announce something, I doubt they are going to go with the same marketing tactic they used for Red Dead Redemption 2 which was tweeting out a logo with a red background. however this is what I think will happen:

 

they will make a short video with a logo and some 80s synth music, possibly even a date for when to expect a trailer

If you think about it. They released new GTA games almost every 2-3 year before except GTA IV and GTA V. But now its been even longer.

Games get harder to make. Substantially much more complicated, larger and more detailed. It's not just Rockstar. Take Naughty Dog, for example. On PS4, they managed 2 games and a DLC that grew into a standalone expansion. And one of those games isn't even out yet. Similar with CD Projekt Red, they've only managed 2 games, and one isn't even out yet.
