I don't want to break your vibe but every numbered game was set in the present day (except for 2.) In my opinion they have set a pattern here.

For the devs and the artists and sound guys and the scripters and the (now dormant) mocap folk, no. Context is very important and this is reinforced through the QA cycle. I'm saying this speculatively of course.

 

But for the testers, maybe yes! They might be handed sliced portions of a game or even a theoretical function that is entirely isolated from anything else.

Obviously this makes, in my opinion, him with less credibility. Not for be so specific, even for the director of GTA VI would be impossible to know if the game would be delayed, but yes because making all the time riddles and then go so clearly in this post.

Well the fact that he supposedly hinted at March 25th and he said in another post that there would be a March announcement, strengthens the claim that there will be a March 25th announcement. He could say that because no one knows if he's legit or not, so it's taken with a grain of salt anyway.

Why would he say random dates and talk about delays, if he still doesn't know if the game will be delayed?

You should be angry at them, the mods. They are taking the piss out of you. 

 

Our Scottish pal won't dramatically release anything anytime soon because nothing is going to happen anytime soon.

 

Maybe something was planned, and so the hype machine was started. But then those viral real-world events that we are all aware of overtook all of this, and unfortunately we are now in a place where no company can confidently say what they will do next. For now. 

 

We need some honest and respectful realism here. And that applies to the way this forum is managed. Don't treat this community like sh*t or playthings.

Maybe it is something programmed by rockstar, that is, the dates are approximate in case something happens in the project, such as a period of delays.(if there are any in the future)

I have a lot of fun with that Scottish Messias jokes, i mean, i love that hints and hype, but obviously i dont think we will know nothing about GTA VI at least until october 2020. I'm just wondering about the real knowledge of Rockstar plans the guy could have, just this. There can be 1000 variables that makes Rockstar delay the annuncement; coronavirus, some intern problems, some problems with artwork, some economics aspects... Even they can delay it months, days, hours... It's almost impossible know with two months of advance the exact day that Rockstar will do something, even when they release an official date for the release of a game its probably that they will delay even it.

I think the magnitude of the current situation makes all the other problems seem insignificant.
