If Rockstar does not update the social-media profile pictures then people pray for the 25th announcement to be true.

 

If the game is not announced on the 25th then most people will forever hate @AliasSmithandJones for being a troll, and the rest will blame COVID-19

I did not say this, I assumed the game would be released within 12-months after it's announcement not 2.

I expected the game to be released in Q4 2012 and not 2011.

There is zero chance of a GTA6 announcement within the foreseeable future. Not anymore. 

 

I'm going to be very unpopular and suggest that we're in a massively different world to where we were even six weeks ago. 

 

Miserable world events which we all know about have swept us into a new paradigm. Whether we like it or not, or whether even R* and T2 likes it or not, we are in a profoundly different world. Everyone is sh*tting themselves right now. We will view the world as pre- and post- Corona, at least until it all gets warlike then all bets are off.  

 

Anyway, there's a profound and shell-shocked sense of gloom hanging around the creative industries in video games right now. The ecosystem between games, music, filming and animation is punctured. Slick operators are suddenly grounded. In the R* HQ in Edinburgh folk were worriedly carting out all kinds of kit to set up at home before the plague strikes, and some of them paused to glance back at their citadel and speculated that maybe no one is coming back from this. Like an embassy in a failing Soviet state, with eight hours to evacuate. 

 

Let's hope for the best and hope, somehow, that this is only temporary.

What I find quite weird is that Rockstar made RDR1 backwards compatible a few weeks before RDR2 Announcement. Now they've released GTA IV once again to steam. May be a stretch but quite interesting

It was 3 months, and a year prior there was a glitch that allowed it ti be played, before it was fixed. GTA IV has been backwards compatible since February 2017. The PC stuff is only because of the GfWL issues. If it weren't for that, Rockstar wouldn't bother with it. It's a necessity they HAVE to address.

has anyone datamined gta iv complete fully yet? Man can dream but imagine if it had the remastered liberty city haha. (It doesnt, would have heard that by now)
