Exactly what did our Scottish pal say about dates? I'm seeing at least two dates ascribed to him: 20th and 25th.

 

What did and didn't he say, and how much assumption and interpretation has been applied to reach those dates?

 

I'm not saying this to be critical of anyone at all - I just want to understand this since there has been so much chatter about this recently that I think we might have lost sight of the basics.

He mentioned "0320" but it was a timestamp for the Nas music video that went out in private messages, not a date.

My concern is that he hasn't said 20th or 25th March at all. Someone found a vague link that might possibly just-about relate to something he said, a film that came out 10 years ago, and then everyone jumped onto that particular train. Then it became something of an echo chamber and the hype exploded because, understandably, a lot of people want to believe.  

 

But if we step aside from that, it seems that he never provided an actual date for anything.

I mean, seeing that and concluding that Rockstar is going to change the logo to tease GTA VI on the 20th is a bit of a stretch but we'll see.

He did not leak those dates. He just hinted the 20th (Blow the man down + 2003 in a pm to RockstarPlayer94) and he hinted the 25th (release date of ‘Not the Messiah (He's a VeryNaughty Boy)’). But I’m pretty sure we can find other dates in his riddles that are neither the 20th nor the 25th.

Its very convenient for him to keep giving vague hints so he can keep pushing till something actually happens.

Except it's not a fact. He didn't say that. Other folk interpreted it to mean that. 

 

Take the 'not the messiah' as an example. OK so a film came out on a date ten years ago. That's a little tenuous don't you think? I could find maybe half a dozen release dates for films related to The Life of Brian (the source of that meme) in different regions of the world that could hint at just about any time of year. Or it could hint at other events in the 1970s.  Or it could be an anagram. It can mean whatever you want it to.

 

If you just take that one thing he said on its own then maybe it does not mean anything related to a release date. We're collectively self-deluding.

To avoid spreading misinformation please send proof of what you state, especially if you say that it's a fact. Personally i remember the misinterpretation by many people of '0320', which wasn't a date, while I'm pretty sure AliasSmithandJones referenced March 25th multiple times, directly or indirectly (through the movie and all that)

@dragonbg bruh he never about 20th march. From my memory he hinted 0320 as timestamp for a video he posted as clue.

In my opinion the logo change idea is weird. The only time Rockstar changed it's logo was for RDR2

I am not saying that he is not trustworthy. In fact, I am one of those who believe he knows something. But you have to admit that you see what you want to see.

 

Let me give you an example..

‘From the inside looking out’ is a movie released on the 20th of August.

We can find different dates in a lot of his riddles!

Whoever this guy is and whatever he is up to, he has certainly prompted a fascinating case study in how information spreads and changes in a community. For that alone he deserves credit! 

 

It's worth learning something from all of this.
