People are taking this too seriously. A "logo change" as people call it has only happened once, for RDR2. And it wasn't as simple as that. They specifically tweeted it.  And the trailer released within 8 days for RDR2 and GTA V. The "few weeks or so" comes after. When we're waiting for news. 

There's still no guarantee anything will happen this month. Don't set any expectations.

That's not strictly true. For RDR2, they changed it DURING the announcement. Basically, they changed their logos across social media to black/red. But they also tweeted out the artwork.

The point being that it wasn't just a "logo change" indicating something was coming. they specifically tweeted it. The official announcement came two days later. But of course we knew something was coming at that point. If they change their logos without saying anything, drawing attention to it, it practically means nothing.

Yea RDR2 was revealed (or teased) with company wide avatar + Twitter/Facebook/etc post with the RDR2 style Rockstar logo.

 

It wasn't officially confirmed as RDR2 until a few days later.

Alright so I found a connection between the Scottish mans username and Rockstar. 

 

In the old Scottish sketch from "Chewin' the Fat", there's a reoccurring joke about a prankster on a lighthouse. The prankee  always replies to the pranks with that phrase: 

 

And in RDR2, there's a guy playing the opening song to the sketch on the harmonica:

 

Not sure if this means anything, but at the very least we might know now that someone at R* knew the sketch and the song, therefore someone at R* is aware of gonnaeno dae that. so maybe username checks out? has this been planned since the song was in red dead? probably not, just throwing this all out there. Maybe its just a common harmonica song, who knows.

i'm not sure if it means much. there's a lot of Scottish references in Rockstar games

Bet you didn't think I'd dig up a decade old post, huh @Jabalous But, no. In all seriousness, I was looking for this interview with Dan Houser, But all the links to The Times site were dead. Had to go through the wayback machine to find it. It's something that I've spoken about before, as have many of us. But still, it's interesting to think about.

So back in November 2009, Dan Houser alluded to the next GTA, saying:

We know by November 2009 that work had already begun on GTA V, and they already had the city and protagonists largely selected. Why is this relevant? Well it's just similar to what Dan said in 2018, right before RDR2 released:

 

 

I just thought I'd share this, perhaps bring some normality back, for a few minutes. But what is really interesting is the next part:

 

Turns out, Dan could not keep this up forever. And he's probably retired to spend time with family.

 

I just thought it was pretty interesting to go back to. 

The guy sounds like a genuine, smart and self-conscious person, props to him for not being a dick like other executives
