Since Rockstar most likely read these forums, it would be logical for them to not do anything on 20th and 25th and do it at some other date instead to surprise us

debatable whether it is bollix or not, a lot of stuff has popped up today such as the album Blinding Lights by The Weeknd and apparently they used the same robot in their promo sh*t as Rockstar used on their updated site with the champange bottle n' sh*t. also the Scot "leaker" had posted a song in the Eastenders thread which is called "Something For The Weekend" which people such as I have speculated it is referring to The Weeknd. also he had said "0320" but most people are saying it's just a timestamp which I have come to believe

What's everyone predicting? I reckon a logo change on the 20th and a trailer on the 25th. I'm hoping for that. I also see the possibility this could all be smoke and mirrors time will tell.

While looking for some old interviews, I came across this

 

 

Bet you didn't think I'd dig up a decade old post, huh @Jabalous But, no. In all seriousness, I was looking for this interview with Dan Houser, But all the links to The Times site were dead. Had to go through the wayback machine to find it. It's something that I've spoken about before, as have many of us. But still, it's interesting to think about.

So back in November 2009, Dan Houser alluded to the next GTA, saying:

“We'll think of a city first, then the characters,”

(to be fair, none of this is new, we've known this since... well, since he said this in 2009 )

We know by November 2009 that work had already begun on GTA V, and they already had the city and protagonists largely selected. Why is this relevant? Well it's just similar to what Dan said in 2018, right before RDR2 released:

Both intense liberal progression and intense conservatism are both very militant, and very angry. It is scary but it’s also strange, and yet both of them seem occasionally to veer towards the absurd. I just thought I'd share this, perhaps bring some normality back, for a few minutes. But what is really interesting is the next part:

Turns out, Dan could not keep this up forever. And he's probably retired to spend time with family.
