that's why the rockstar / sony deal could make sense.

no I have already said it several times, if the next gen consoles come out at the end of 2020 they can easily release the game on the console during 2021

Why ?

because in 2021 the vast majority of players will still be on current consoles and next gen consoles will be backward compatible

so in 2021 you will sell the game to the widest possible audience: the PS4 version for those who still have their PS4 and on PS5 for those who have sold it

 

and one year after an upgraded version on next gen, the best way to maximize profits

and stop believing that the 2 years between the announcement and the release of the game is a rule, it was never supposed to be

 

you stay too obsessed with these 2 year story thinking it's automatic

There's no way they are going to announce the game for ps4/xone only and then a next gen version later, way too late for that.

they are not idiot to release it for this gen... they release it only for ps5 and series x because of backward compatible if u buy it for ps4 you will can play it on ps5 and this is not good for SONY and MS

Now take a look at RDR 2 and imagine what will Rockstar do with it in GTA VI. The moment when they will reveal GTA VI trailer will be like early christmas.

i hope there will be some sort of next gen patches/upgrades for those games. i might be even tempted to pay for them...

The specs alone of the next gen consoles and the idea that they have 2000+ workers and years working on the next gta (i assume)

Patches can only improve graphics and performance, they can't upgrade the map/gameplay compromises that R* had to accept due to the limitations of current gen consoles. That's why GTA VI must be next-gen only: I don't want any compromise.

well, idk whats being discussed curently, but FUCC current gen mfkn limited ass capped gen. gta next, we been waiting ALL these years, it have to be dislumbrant and innovative at its most, so NEXT gen only is the ideal. R* knows about it and they aint crazy (i hope) to FUCC their chance of showing what their cappable of for next gen, like they did with IV back then (with ps3, x360).

In the entire history of Rockstar Games there has never been such a long period of silence on the gta series.

rockstars release process has obviously changed since gta v maybe even before gta v. they were releasing a couple games per year but games are evolving incredibly quickly so obviously that means more work has to be put in to a single project. with gtao they literally built the multiplayer city over the years with all the content releases all while probably building rd2. they are probably doing the same with rdo while building their next project.

To expand on this a little, Rockstar moved to having all of their studios on 1 project. Previously they had each studio working on a title.

GTA IV at rockstar north

RDR at San Diego etc

 

Now its all hands on deck for their largest most ambitious projects with probably smaller subteams getting other projects and concepts going, for instance after the story beats were finished and finalized for RDR2 im sure that the writing team could have moved onto GTA 6. admittedly though i dont have any more info than anyone here and all this is speculation.

Yeah, it's been mentioned. But it's not that weird. There's a lot of Scottish references in Rockstars games.

From my understanding, it's saying the less we look for the 'finality' of truths and answers, the more we know actual truth just by looking past our own scope.

It's important to distinct truth from fiction, there's always more than what you know. What we see and what we are told are just a passage of one's perspective to another. Therefore when we 'learn', we tend to stand by our own bubble of that 'world'. Like a goldfish in a bowl of water, it only sees and thinks of nothing but swimming in place and that it needs to eat and sh*t sometimes. Not even aware there are words and explanations we've made up to describe the things that it does or that words and explanations exist in the first place. And so by that its only scope of world and knowledge is what's happening within that bubble.

 

The paradox is that, by seeking truths itself, we will just find a sh*t ton of different perspectives and experiences from all kinds of different people, and that only adds to the confusion. When we scale it down and look at how limited that goldfish is, and we put ourselves in that position, we know OURSELVES we can be more than that. And THAT will bring us the real truth.

 

How it applies to what AliasSmithandJones is doing is that this whole thing is not as binary as  "GTA VI announcement when", it's more about the secret potential hidden deep within US.
