Here’s some common sense - why would they announce something like that if it’s for gta 5 this early aka summer 2020

From what I've noticed, the Instagram Story had an "RP" (Rating Pending) tag.
Could this be an entirely new game? Does DLC require rating too?

Apparently there is a culture gap because where I'm from everybody listens to them. And so do all my friends and associates from Florida, Cali, and Washington.

Agreed. The heavy trap thing is pretty much all anyone listens to here in NZ, too, within the ages of honestly like 12-30 years old. Artists like Denzel Curry, Ski Mask, Travis Scott, Lil Pump etc. I'm not trying to defend the value of the music necessarily, but you just have to look at the streaming numbers of some of theses artists (some of whom are children themselves) to know they're making a massive impact, particularly with the youth. 

 

XXXtentacion, for example, was the third biggest streaming artist in 2018 behind only Drake and Post Malone who are the 'mainest' of the mainstream. So a young self-made Florida artist, who arguably popularised Zillakami's style of music, did more numbers than Queen, Led Zeppelin, or the Rolling Stones, or Eminem, or Ed Sheeran, or Justin Bieber. To say people aren't listening to this type of stuff is just ignorant or contrarian. 

 

Now, to keep it on topic - because of the above, I don't think statements that imply the entire game is going to be made only for people who listen to this music are accurate, or fair. Robert Plant music was in V, as was YG and Kendrick Lamar - so I'm pretty sure the music doesn't necessarily reflect their target demographic, its to, you know, have different radio options as in real life. The first trailer music for V was by The Small Faces - was anyone worried this game would only be targeted toward Kenney Jones fans?

 

 We may not all agree with or like the music but the Housers are known to be massive hip-hop fans so I imagine they have their fingers on the pulse. Also, I'm sure they're aware, like most able-minded people, that one single song or radio station or whatever, is not going to have an impact on the quality or sales of the game, jesus christ. This is interesting info regardless, we don't have to turn it in to a sh*tfight over what 'real' music is.

Could that be their album's release date, and they have made tracks from that album in collaboration with Rockstar for GTA 6? It seems way too early for a new game release and probably too long for a GTA Online update.
