Why are people so annoyed at people speculating in a "speculation" thread? lol.

 

Also, this kind of sh*t has happened before, does anyone not remember Adriaan or the whole Genesis thread. I swear they do this intentionally in the lead up to announcements just to drive up hype. I don't expect the dude to actually give us actual clear information - his job is to start generating our interest in GTA6 so we're checking the website for updates etc.

Yeah its not as if this very forum didn't have an obvious Rockstar plant (deepthroat) expose GTA 4's trailer a week before it launched. Nor did most of the forum know GTA 5's location was Los Santos in advance. This very forum also didn't have the Usher Hall thread which anticipated RDR 2's announcement.

Problem was, it was in GTA IV day 1. No way Rockstar planned it that far out. And it's just as unlikely they did it in reference. It's most likely just a coincidence. And to be fair, it's an iconic landmark, and the private jet just adds to the coincidence.

That was for an unreleased screenshot during the pre-release marketing period, not the map. The map first appeared on NeoGAF or similar even before the game was announced in 2016 IIRC.
