Heck, maybe it is the East coast and we get LC and VC, in two decades. 

 

Development wouldn't be that bad, the late 00's LC is done and would be a great foundation for stripping back to a previous decade.

 

Create a modern VC from scratch, and again, you'd have the foundation already in place for the stripped back one from a previous decade. 

 

Almost like 4 unique maps, but like, without having to spend all the time and money creating 4 completely unique maps!

But at least we will know about the game. And have a window of release + a year to account for the delay. I've been through both. The drought post announcement is definitely better.

I don't think it will be that bad. At least there will be something factual we can base our speculations on, not this nonsense that is going on for the last months. There will presumably be a trailer, so there's going to be a lot of stuff to analyze. Seems less painful to me than what is going on right now 😄.

you know i don't think it's going to be as bad as before. back then we had no idea of the drought to come. at least this time we can expect the game to come up to 2 years after first announcement and go from there. sure it will be hard but we'll get through it via orgies etc.

I just mean it'd be out within two years. Best case scenario, we'd get "Spring/Fall 20XX"

True, but the drought period brings out a lot more pessimists. Delay talk, how Rockstar is ruined, how GTA is ruined, how it's going to be online only, no Benz or Dan.... I can picture it all now. It's gonna be chaos lol.

To be honest, this drought thing doesn't work for me anymore.

 

It did back with V, but with RDR2 I just lost interest as the time went on. Of course I was excited when it came out, but it just wasn't the same. Life goes on I guess.

We've just had two modern day GTAs back to back and GTAO. I don't want more of the same.

 

 

80s revival is pretty popular nowadays too.

There's always something. But right now we have nothing. Besides a handful of uninteresting leaks, and a couple of speculative more interesting ones. At least once it's announced we'll have a trailer to watch, and every few months a couple of screenshots. Grass is always greener, and all that....

so its basiclly going to be the same as now lol... but at least it will be announced already and we might know at least the setting or something. of course, a few weeks or so after the "oficial teasing"

Yea but x100 probably. This forum will skyrocket in traffic when it's announced. It'll be a good time to hang around for sure but it's also going to make you want to pull your hair out occasionally. :)

That would be too much work. You'd have to design two versions of the city. Two different versions of NPCs, the music..
