From a marketing perspective that's not ideal. I'd say they'll reveal it 1 year before it "comes out", then delay it. Gotta delay it or it wouldn't be Rockstar :D But honestly the shortest time they'd announce it is at least 6 months before the release.

In the past GTAForums have had contact or some kind of relationship with Rockstar. I don't expect admins to know anything until we do. Maybe once the game is announced they may get some small bits here and there. Fan sites used to get exclusive scrrenshots for GT AIV & V. Maybe even before then, too. Honestly, he's probably trolling us. And I can't say I blame him. We need something fun to do lol

Interesting!

 

I remember years ago before V was announced there was a podcast by one of the admins on here. He basically said the setting was Los Santos but everyone focused on him saying it could be Vice City. They definitely know sometimes. Hopefully this is another one of those cases - perhaps Rockstar have gave them a nudge that announcement is soon. Here’s to hoping...
