That's how it is on Xbox, at least for first party titles. And I'm presuming select third party titles, such as Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation, however... Let's wait and see. But I don't expect any cross gen first party games from them. So it's kinda' irrelivent.

They will focus on true 4K and 60FPS not a big jump! ( console master race lol )

I just really hope they use every single asset that console brings, no excuses, every single thing.  I know its difficult for this first game on this console, but hell I wouldn't mind till fall 2021 for a release just to give a few more months of polish. Polishing their knobs in this case their games is very good.

It's only Xbox first party studios, that will focus on 60 FPS and probably only at the beginning of gen (later on some games will be also targeting 60 FPS but not all of them). Just take a look at Hellblade 2, it looks stunning and it is targeting 30 FPS.

There is pretty much no slimmest chance for release in 2021, we're already in 2020.

No one is starting console war. Both consoles are going to be very powerful. More powerful they are, the better for everyone (console gamers and PC gamers and developers). By the way, jump is really huge compared to Xbox 360 which was target for GTA V. Xbox 360/PS3 are not even at the same planet. RDR 2 already looks great on current consoles but GTA VI will simply blow our minds.

What is Rockstargames going to do? Make GTA 6 a remastered version of GTA 5 and restart our Online accounts?

Grand Theft Auto Six will not be announced until well after the release of PS5.

 

Obviously GTA VI will be coming out on PS5 therefore Rockstar will not be allowed to show the game before PS5 is released as it will show off the new consoles graphics and such before Sony reveal everything themselves. This means that Grand Theft Auto Six may not be announced and revealed until March 2021, meaning a likely 2023 release.

Thats not accurate at all, you can announce games/trailers without mentioning targeted systems. GTAV announcement didn't even have Sony or Microsoft branding at all.

Since when? It's always in engine. The 'problem' is that the game changes so much during development, by the time we see it again in a second trailer, and again by the time we get to play it, that it ends up looking so different.

Rockstar trailers are never pre-rendered cinematics, all trailers are in real time, if you are talking about Rockstar Games games. Only in GTA V first trailer, that was also in real time, they used mo-cap animations.

This is what i was saying all time. They announced GTA V without mentioning platforms. They can do it with GTA VI anytime now.

Well, Strauss said we'll get something in the coming months and Dan is leaving in the coming months.

Strauss wants money and Dan didn't want GTA 6 in the age of Trump.

What if Tao Cheng returns in GTAVI as the protagonist's buddy like how Brucie was to Niko. Street races (likely crash cars), night clubs, etc.

Or at least know more of the Cheng family.

I always thought that he was interesting.., as a side character IF implemented well I can see how tao would fit in..,

GTAV really didnt spend enough time in fleshing story..,(for many reasons in limitations.., one being the generation it was dropped in..,)

and in DC&R he did grow as a character despite still exiting the stage at the end..,

 

Tao Cheng still has growth potential..,(potential we barely got a molecule of due to the casino dlc.., rather than SP)

 

but how he would fit in future GTA.., unknown.., specially due to many reasons.., until the nails are set in some coffins and we can see if he would fit or not..,

 

but for rn it's sadly an unlikely, but not thrown out the building..,

Is Grand Theft Auto VI even going to be called "VI"? Its name could have something similar to "San Andreas" or "Vice City" put there instead of "VI".
