Don't do this to yourself people. 12th February is old date of rumored PlayStation meeting. Not to mention, that servers maintenance has nothing to do with revealing anything. It's plain stupid and pointless to shutdown anything to upload video.

Private videos are there since like forever. And there is no secret clue left for us to uncover.

Yep I've heard Grumman Studios thrown around the acting industry. I think theyre on the credits for MP3 if I can remember maybe not. But that just brings more proof .

 

Anyways, I doubt anything will be announced. Why, I think the server maintenance just to fix out the bugs in RDR2, V, that been on the past month. Although I do find it crazy that even social club and a few other assets that dont have to do with the games are also getting maintenance.  Plus theres always a teaser before the teaser.

One of them is GTA V Trailer 2. I have a personal playlist on YouTube will all the trailers, and about 2 or 3 years ago, they privated Trailer 2. It's likely that's the case for the others.

GTA VI needs to be the Expendables of the GTA series, all the protagonists together for the greatest heist of all time. Imagine the possibilities of a trailer for this.

well in terms of the past 4 days its down 12%, pretty much losing 1 billion in value. Doesn't matter it'll become healthy again.

Do you think that Pedestrian and Traffic Density will be increased in GTA 6? Next-Gen consoles would be able to handle this, but would this just become too much of a pain to be stuck in traffic or cause controversy by being able to throw a grenade into a crowd of pedestrians like some terrorist? Then again, You can do this in the latest Hitman games.

More peds? Definitely. Traffic density will be probably increased a little to the point where it won't be annoying yet.

I know how even reduced traffic like in GTA Online can be pain in the arse. They should make perfectly balanced game.

I hope R* Make the protagonists look their age this time . I personally feel like Niko Belic (aged 30/31) looked more like he was in his early 40s (okay I guess  the excuse would be the war took its toll on him) but also Franklin (aged 25/26) looked like someone in their mid-30s or about to hit 40

Maybe it's a bit far fetched but the server maintenance before announcement might make a bit of sense as it could be used to upload advertising material to GTA O, RDR 2 and the Social Club... it's very strange that they are taking down the servers on ALL of their online games on ALL platforms. Just my two thoughts.

No need to shutdown anything to upload anything. It's like shutting down YouTube to upload movie. What people want to believe is beyond my imagination now. Upcoming maintenance could be related to Social Club.

Yeah it's probably just some back-end updating. We might not even notice the difference. Or maybe they're finally going to remove the bacon sandwich that they dropped behind the server that handles their customer support about three years ago.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the chances of a GTA6 reveal before the next gen consoles are revealed are zero. Xbox will probably do theirs at the sister event to E3. Playstation probably around the same time.

Aside from that, there is no need to even start talking GTA6 yet, GTAO and RDO are doing well at the moment. I don't think we will hear anything about GTA6 until 2021.

 

With regards to the downtime on 12th Feburary, never mind online games, can anyone tell me the last time any software house took an existing product down to announce a new product ? does Apple take the app store down when they release a new iphone ?

Its a very desperate clutch at straws to suggest this is related to any sort of announcement.

 

They are probably doing some infrastructure changes and rather than do blue-green deployment its just easier to shut stuff down for an hour or two.

Ask yourself why someone who claims to work at R* creates a brand new twitter account and then leaks the biggest game R* will release in the next 10 years. Why do that? Job gone, unlikely to get to work in the industry again, for what benefit ?

 

Add the fact that all the images are incredidbly poor quality and basically show nothing of value. They are also inconsistent in style, one of the faces looks more like a cartoon than a game character.

 

The obfuscation of the text at the bottom of the logo one is curious - why do that, probably because it says something like "Copyright 2015" on it maybe ?

And what the hell is that logo anyway, Grand Theft Auto Six Six  ? Sixty Six ?
