 My opinion is not based on this only but well, it's not right topic for such discussions. Rockstar would be probably only one big studio, that wouldn't release cross-gen game. How likely is that? You can answer yourself. Just wait for announcement, it will come. We're beating the same dead horse since a  year now.

Rockstar has their own division at Technicolor  By the way, English of this guy is very bad. Not to mention, that he never worked at Rockstar. He worked at R* Technicolor Division.

I just saw this fan made GTA Online trailer in reddit:

 

It made me realize that GTAO has covered so much the "crazy sh*t" niche, that GTA6 wont be set in a modern time because it just wont add anything new that GTAO hasnt.

 

Im pretty confident now we're getting a more serious and story oriented game (ala RDR2), set in the past, so it will be something new and fresh.

I want a serious and realistic game, low ammo that makes you have to pick up other weapons like MP3, few shots to die, you are required to have more strategy and use cover, heavy gameplay like RDR2, I like when you can fell the character weight...

Also remove the auto aim snap from all future titles. Little bit of aim assist is fine but full auto snap is just not fun or satisfying.

RDR2's free aim is much better after the Frontier Pursuits update and perfectly playable. Only the horseback aiming is pretty difficult without some sort of assist.

 

Also GTA5 was fine on PS4 in free aim. Surely the automatic weapons helped greatly.

lol I love the free aim on RDR2 is satisfying,
Play with free aim for some time and you get used to it and see that there is nothing complicated

MP3 is a goddamn gem of a game. It has everything you want in a Max Payne game.

It's difficult in horseback or in vehicles(You can use assisted aim). But on foot it's very very satisfying, just not snappy like every other shooter in market.

Yes I have. Max Payne 3 is perfect example of how shooting/aiming should work in future R* tittles. Free aiming isn't the best in GTA V, but I still rather aim by myself than have the game aim for me.

It's baffling R* made MP3 and didn't use it's core mechanics in their next games. Maybe it's their design choice but imo it's not a very good one.

I haven't played MP3, so I don't know how it works there, but playing RDR2 with free-aim on PS4 was unbearable for me, so I used auto-aim. The game has massive input lag and often drops below 30 fps. However, on PC I prefer free-aim, of course.

Reading all this discussion about aim I am confused as a PC player. How do you play free aim? Isn't it hard as nails with a controller?

DH: Basically we have been meaning to start it for a while, but we have limited bandwidth and limited studios, and more games to make than we've started. So suddenly it was a good slot.

Also, contrary to a lot of people, we like to take a little bit of time at the end of a game before starting a sequel, so we can wait for the excitement or disappointment and everything else of the experience to shake down and really see what we should do in the next game.

So we knew that we didn't want to start doing the Bully sequel instantly at that second with those guys -- even though it is a property that, like Max, we adore and might come back to in the future. There was just no impetus to do that then.

So we said, "You can do Max, and then we will see what we can do with Bully." So it was really waiting for the slot to open up and the group to open up to at least start work on it.

Midnight Club was also in the works at some point, Midnight Club:Las Vegas

GTA 6 is coming next and it will most likely be somewhat of the miami Florida area. That leak about having a Narcos theme seems accurate, I just hope they stick to the original formula of a likable tough guy and swears alot. It would be cool if the main character had an inner monologue Tommy Vercetti had it for some missions but R* didn't keep it up.
