It was the same thing with the RDR2 leak. The person who posted that on reddit was berated and ended up deleting it. And it turned out pretty much all the stuff he posted was spot on. And I was one of the ones who thought he was bulls**ting as well. maybe people are deleting their ‘leaks’ off Reddit now for the same reason. After the RDR2 leaks, it’s just silly to dismiss anything.

 

The person who leaked the RDR2 stuff couldn’t even spell properly ffs.

People complaining about the reddit stuff being posted in here. Why? It’s what this thread is for. There’s no need to close the thread. Just visit it less frequently or don’t at all if it bothers you that much.

Cant wait for when it comes out and some leaks were true and I really want to see the faces of people who actually offended people who leaked correctly informations. You all are waiting for leaks and then actually INSULT the one who leak stuff, even if its true - what the feck is wrong with some people

Im just saying don’t dismiss everything that gets posted in here out of hand. Because that is as equally annoying to me as all the stuff you think is fake is to you.

 

People should be able to post stuff in here without fear of being called stupid. Any ‘leak’ no matter how unbelievable  it sounds should be allowed to be posted in here. Either say you don’t believe it and leave it at that or just ignore it completely. It’s not difficult.

Rockstar needs to drop something the drought is dryer than a prostitute on the streets of los santos... only releasing 1 game since gta 5 which was 7 years ago is very unacceptable.

I was starting to believe, 15% confident it was real, the game not having ray tracing made sense to me since RDR2 doesn't have.

Simply because we just won't have a hope in hell of ascertaining anything until the game's announced.... Or maybe even released for that matter.

Sometimes even in hindsight we're unable to really guess what leaks are fake and what aren't. I remember this thread from before the release of V, when we were  going through the post-trailer one drought.

Now, he did get two things wrong (release date and Franklin's name), but naming two protagonists as Michael and Trevor seems very, very spot on. Especially when multiple protagonists wasn't even confirmed at that point. There's a good chance there's some legit info in these leaks.

I think it should not have been removed, it was one of the most interesting I've read, even though in this leak the game seems to be an improved single player GTAO.

I think it’s very strange that some dudes like Tezfunz or Yan22 didn’t talk about GTA6 yet. Obviously, they know something but they don’t want to share it, don’t know why.

Well, Yan is legit and so was his info. But it's an old info he revealed, if the Bully 2 rumors are real (about it's ulterior delay or total cancellation). Anyway it's not like it matters now since he has decided to stop leaking stuff.

If Tez knows something I'm sure he'd share his info with us as he always does, I guess.

Yeah, I AM going to look silly if one out of hundreds or thousands leaks turns out to be not an utter BS, rather than those who wasted their time creating them or wondering if they are real. This one is real, unlike those 456 previous ones!

When I made the images of Bully II he could have contacted some "source" to debunk what I did, but he didn't, just like other people who say they have "sources" and believed the images. He was wrong many times and never gave any really concrete proof, of course he was correct sometimes too. The "real leaks" of GTAV and RDR2 were made by other people on 4chan, reddit, gtaforums, not Yan.

I remember when a guy leaked the GTAO Executives and Other Criminals and Lowriders dlc, he showed beta images of websites and cars and many people didn't believe him because the websites used stock images.

He didn't because he was asked by Rockstar/T2 to stop leaking stuff more than a year ago, so even if he wanted to debunk your images he couldn't have done it anyway.

 

Anyway it doesn't matter if you believe him or not, what I said is just that the info Yan shared about bully 2 is old and plans could have changed since then.

Using insider info to debunk something is still leaking, and doing that after R*/T2 specifically asked him to stop wouldn't have been a good idea.

To be fair it hard to believe leaks when all of them sound different. If you look at all the GTA 6 leaks so far, you would think a parallel universe actually exists.

I don’t even understand why some people come in here. They clearly don’t enjoy it. Most of the thread is baseless speculation. People don’t need to be reminded every single time that the leak is probably fake.

I know that you know more than this, Mastah, and actually you might only be making a joke, but I always say that it's not useful to compare the past to the present. Rockstar Games/T2, any company or even a person, of 2001, and generally the 2000s, isn't the same entity as in the present financial and function wise, let alone the fact that so much time has passed that many things have changed in the industry. There might be a point in the opinion which says that the first-day or first-week sales figure have as much importance as the lifetime sales, but definitely its effect is only for the short term, and it's likely used to impress the shareholders.

 

The PS4 console only passed 50M units sold 3 years into its lifetime, and Xbox One only pushed 20M units in the same period. Now imagine this happened when PS4 launched with a $399 price tag, so it might be reasonable to think the PS5 won't be selling as much in the same period provided that it'd initially be sold for $499 or more, unless there's more than one attraction in the new consoles that would make the conversion rate picking up faster in order to compensate for the higher price tag. Grand Theft Auto V sold 11.21M units during the first 24-hours of its launch and this happened at the peak of a console generation which nearly sold north of 150M units by the time the game released in September. It means that only 8-10% of the total base bought V during the first 24 hours, and 11% of the total base did so in the first week of its launch. Now if we wildly assume that both the next PS and Xbox consoles will move a total of 70M units during the first 2 years of their launch, and that 15% will buy VI during the first week of its launch, the game would sell 6M less units than V during the first week.

 

Of course this is not a reason for not releasing VI even 1 year into the new consoles life cycle, because if R*/T2 are willing to do it, they would. Smart shareholders would understand the difference between selling a game at the beginning, mid or peak cycle of a generation, and they'd rather focus on the lifetime sales. They would also think of it in terms of the ratio of how many units of VI were moved over how many units that the new consoles have sold. If the percentage increased, it'd mean that more players are embracing Grand Theft Auto from the start. In any case, ignoring this numbers study, the primary reason for Grand Theft Auto 6 not to be moved early in the new consoles cycle is because it'd not be ready. 2, 3 and even 4 years following the release of a time- and resources-consuming project as Red Dead isn't enough to have another large hit title ready for release.
