Are you lazy, stubborn, or both? You keep linking the same sources that refer to the pastebin post. If you want to discuss which points in that 'leak' have been proven correct without any prior leaks/rumors, go ahead, otherwise we'd prefer that you don't drag the level of this discussion to your low standards.

All of the console specs in that pastebin were what most tech nerds were anticipating anyway. None of it was shocking to expect or difficult to guess. I've had an SSD for my Xbox since 2017. It's the only way forward. Don't even get me started on the games it predicts. The most obvious list you could write. It's even bold enough to just write "Assassin's Creed" with no subtitle. We knew one was coming in 2020 anyway.

It's not tech nerds, otherwise you'd give this person another reason to post more troll-level arguments. The whole PS5 specs posted in that 'leak' were heavily leaked and rumored in various media outlets way before that page was posted on pastebin.

Tbf, tech nerds was just the fastest way of typing it. Didn't really want to spend long talking about that lol. I watch a lot of stuff online, so i was familiar with the discussions. Even going back to 2016, when project scorpio was announced.

There was this leak, I don't know how old it was but it might have some truth to it. 

- The game will be set in 80's Vice City
- You will control an Italian protagonist who just got released from prison 
- the story will focus on cocaine, apparently a cocaine deal goes wrong and you have to find out who was responsible.
- the leaker said the game will release in 2022... or was it 2002

Either way seems legit to me. that about the only leak I trust at this moment in time.

No, this is far from truth. There is 1% chance that this will be the case. GTA V was far from this, most optimised and relatively bug free game of Rockstar. RDR 2 also. After GTA IV, they saw their weak spots and improved a lot since then.

I remember when GTA V on PC launched, and it was universally praised for being extremely well optimized and bug free.

I think we get an announcement sometime this year and original release in holiday 2021, with a delay into 2022, as is tradition. 6 months of PS5 exclusivity is just asinine. No way R* misses out on that money. When online drops for GTA6, they are going to rake in cash from "shark" cards. Even if they do something similar to the beta of RDRO, when the money making scheme goes live for the first time, R* will make a boat load of money. I also wouldn't say that people are not going to buy the Xbox series x. It is way to soon to predict that as we really don't have the best information on release titles. 

 

I think there is one leak out there that is probably 95% correct, or there will be one, but it is nearly impossible to prove without any news released. R* has there game on lockdown.

 

Things to consider in my opinion that relate to a new game getting closer and that are facts:

1. Open IV shut down (why?, as this was a PC mod that only brought LC to single player)

2. T2 asking Yan to stop.

3. Holiday 2020 Xbox and Playstation new consoles releasing (doubtful GTA6 releases before this date "just" based of the fact of the new hardware on its way)

4. R* launcher for PC (stopped early leaks of DLC info)

5. Twitch Prime x Social club partnership (Sets up a very good marketing platform for GTA6, not just in exclusive savings/deal, but in the audience reached)

6. Xbox play having GTA 5 (opens the game up to people who couldn't afford it ((even after 6-7 years?)) and to a younger group who may not have been "allowed" to buy the game)

Wait, who the hell would hear about all of these unannounced games from various publishers in the west to the far east? Is that God himself writing on Reddit? Copying and pasting obviously fake leaks from Reddit will make you look gullible and silly, which is not a nice feeling, for those who are concerned.

GTA 6 wont be PS5 timed exclusive. It may have exclusive content, but the game will launch on both consoles at the same time. Why is people trying to state the exclusivity as a fact?

I'm as sick of saying this as I'm sure everyone is sick of reading it: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I've seen absolutely no such evidence in any of this recirculated garbage.

The guy who accurately leaked PS5 hardware said so. Also we all know that Take Two would be up to doing this, i mean, they're holding PC releases hostage for a year at an minimum just so they force people to double dip.

While this isn't the thread for it, timed exclusives are bullsh*t, all it does is give temporary exclusivity to a certain platform and lock out other players if their not playing on said platform for the time being.  We get frustrated at a lot of other things but timed exclusive games isn't one of them and I'm not sure why.

 

If GTA VI isn't going to be a timed exclusive then I'll be happy.
