some may hear if the Nashville but not many know or have an idea if what a Nashville is..,

though I guess in a future point in time a Nashville location included with any large location nearby could make sense..,

but in terms of a GTA world.., what does a Nashville have that can be GTAfied..,

one hypothesis is that Rockstar so far has only worked with GTA as a magnifying glass over a city and the surrounding landscape(in the future they may add more than one local city.., but that's an unknown..,)

whilst with RDR, they seem to have taken to miniturizing large swaths of the map(even though there isn't much to explore and see in terms of those time periods of cities.., there is land.., small, but thick with detail..,)

so as for a Nashville..,

I'd say you d have to find a big landmark nearby.., and at the moment there really isn't much to point where 6 will be.., so I can only say for the next one..,

ft1xXzS.jpg?1

I'd rather have Memphis instead of Nashville though I hardly know much about Tennessee. Gimme a redneck who wears a flannel shirt and has a shotgun, and I guess his family is also made up of a bunch of criminals and they sell a lot of meth and heroin.

well if that's what you want who am I to say you can't want that..,

though I was just using someone else's example to say my thoughts..,

makes me wonder how would a modern day view of one of the two southern ish families in rdr2 be.., without their predestined path..,

GTA V was announced only 3 years since GTA IV - its been 9 years already since GTA V was announced. Why are you guys thinking GTA might be announced this year?

What does the announcement gap between IV and V have to do with VI situation? There's no a pattern or certain numerology that R* is cultishly following for dating their announcements. It's purely a business decision that's dependent on T2's financials, the available and target technology, and the allocated time and budget for the project.  As for the last question, nah, there'll be no announcement this year, but this will remain a controversial subject within the community.

It´s evident. R* is looking for a video editor.

" Create game trailers, TV commercials, and other marketing and production-based materials. "

I´m 100% sure that this is for GTA 6 and not a RDR2 DLC or any other game. The game is almost finished. Even a release 2020 is very likely.

GTAO/RDO DLC trailers

You know we are like three weeks away from the Superbowl and no R* will not reveal the next GTA in a superbowl commercial.

R* is always looking for a video editor. You can find the same job description, with the same exact wording, going back to late 2013, 2014, 2015 and so on. Clearly it didn't mean anything as they only announced a new game in Oct 2016. Unless you're planning to apply for one, job ads aren't where to look for hints or info, let alone to use them in order to reach any conclusion.

3 and a half years, technically.

People get VERY angry and upset when you try to explain things to people. I was invited by the reddit mods to join their discord... and man, so many people there that are so desperate they get easily annoyed for explaining simple things. Somone even thought they spoke Spanish in Guarma to prepare for GTA 6 🤦‍♂️

If you're going to make those claims you have to back it up with evidence and reasoning. Your 'feeling' mean absolutely nothing. If the game is 'almost finished' why hasn't it been announced?

Nothing, but GTA V was a huge step from GTA IV and it only took them 3 years to announce the game - its been already 9 years since the announcement of GTA V and approx. 7 years since its release - a good amount of time to create something really nice and I'm looking forward to see what they might come up with.

And they have done that. It was called Red Dead Redemption 2. Instead of counting from GTA V, instead count from RDR2. It's only been 14 months since release.

I was always saying, that it will take much longer to make GTA VI than RDR 2 but people don't want to listen because it's against their wishes.  People seem to forget, that this game has to last entire generation.

I mean.... discussing Grand Theft Auto VI with 14 year old boys, who clearly have anger issues, on Reddit isn't the best idea.

You try discussing anything with them. They always know everything.

Yes, as I've said - Rockstar Games wants to make this game so perfect, they'll release it in 2032.

I completely agree. But one thing I'm not sure on is this:

With RDR2, they had to make a very different game. They had to write for pre existing characters, for a prequel. And they had to write a story that was emotional, impactful and tied in as perfectly as possible to RDR1. They likely won't have to do that for GTA VI. The story and tone is up for debate, but I do expect something closer to GTA V, than GTA IV or RDR2 in terms of the story's tone. Personally, I feel that could speed up development, a little. If the game is shorter, too. For example GTA V being around 70 missions + Strangers & Freaks vs over 100 + Strangers for RDR2.

That said, I still expect the same kind of gap between RDR2 and GTA VI. I'm just being honest about not knowing what to think, in that aspect. GTA VI will be their most ambitious game yet, and Online will be further advanced and evolved. that's gonna' take a lot of time.

Another 10 years of a game similar to Grand Theft Auto V?

GTA V was too short, I don't want a smaller game, they can take as long as they want, they can add all of GTAO's features to GTA VI's single player just to increase the game's duration and to have infinite end game missions managing our properties.

Well, yes and no. When you think about GTA VI you should think about a lot more assets, way, way more assets. Another thing is this

Quote

The final script for Red Dead Redemption 2’s main story was about 2,000 pages. But if he were to include all the side missions and additional dialogue, and stack the pages, Dan estimates the pile “would be eight feet high.” Bringing the script to life meant 2,200 days of motion-capture work — compared with just five for Grand Theft Auto III — requiring 1,200 actors, all SAG-AFTRA, 700 of them with dialogue. “We’re the biggest employers of actors in terms of numbers of anyone in New York, by miles,” says Dan. Before a motion-capture shoot that would last two or three weeks, there were meetings “four hours each day for four days. We want it as tight as possible for motion-capture because we’re burning a lot of money very quickly [at those sessions].”

If they needed 1200 actors to populate RDR 2 world and 2200 days for motion capture(yes, 6 years!) then we can only imagine how many actors they will need to populate GTA VI world.

The last one did probably a bad job and they need a competent guy. Expirience isn't always decisive. There are many young talents.

They don't just have one editor and they know that people look at job openings looking for something related to a upcoming game, they won't let something slip like that, they're not dumb.

Yup, definitely most experienced one, maybe even they have a guy there, that is employed since ~20 years like some directors and senior staff at Rockstar. Video editor job offer is never for specific project. They want to employ one because well, they need more video editors.

I expect a more serious and down to earth story. I guess it depends on the setting, if it's set in a sunny/bright location it'll most likely be less serious, now if it's set in a dark and gritty location, it'll have a serious tone.

I prefer the sunny, open atmospheres of GTA V/WD 2 but also prefer the grittier stories of GTA IV/WD 1. So I guess the ideal scenario for me would be a sunny setting with a gritty story :pp

Rockstar:

- Bringing GTA 3, San Andres, Vice City, Red Dead Redemption 1, Bully, and GTA5 to Switch. GTA5 will be one of the first games to use the 64 GB cartridges.

- Bully 2 is going to be announced some time in 2020. It’s set in a college town.

- GTA6 is in production for next gen systems. It’s going to be set in the entire state of Florida, where you can travel through the entire state. Sony has in fact payed for timed exclusivity for 6 months after launch. They payed a hefty fee for it. This time it will also feature a women as one of the three main protagonists.

Agreed. It's why I genuinely can't decide as to which I prefer between IV and V, they're so different from each other yet they end up complimenting each other really well in the sense that rather than competing with each other in tone of the game, the difference in their styles allow you to immerse yourself in either depending on your mood. In a gritty concrete jungle mood? Choose IV. Want to explore a sunny open wilderness type of world? GTA V it is.

So I like how the variation in themes between the two games enhances each others replayability in a sense, hopefully R* continue to keep it unique for VI like they've done in their mainline GTA games so far

It's worth keeping an eye on everything else in that. For obvious reasons.
