Rundur Posted October 9, 2019 Share Posted October 9, 2019 Since I believe I'll most likely pour hundreds of hours into the Online component just like I did with GTAO, I kinda wanna go for the Ultimate. But looking at the bonuses, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the extra 15 bucks since I believe (and I hope) that you'll get better stuff once you level up a bit anyway... Archangelsky Posted October 9, 2019 Share Posted October 9, 2019 I will get the special edition, I was in doubt for a moment but since its all online and only the outfit and the horse is in-game items I assume one can not get otherwise, that alone is not enough for me to pay the extra money. So the special edition it is, and I am also going to chose "Max Payne 3" and "Bully-enhanced edition" as my two games, Bully I do not have and allthough I own Max Payne 3 on steam I only have the base game and not the complete edition. I will add as a sidenote though that as much as I like the extra content to the special edition I do not like the free access to weapons and the extra cash, I like my games to be as hard as possible, most games today are to easy. That would work for the money, far from ideal as it is, but from what I've read you can't throw away weapons in RDR2. All it gives you are literally two outfits that are as of now very bugged and disappear everytime you join any gamemode... Thing that made it somehow worth it were cash and gold bonuses they gave to ultimate edition owners later, but they expired, and also steelbook and the map, but there's no physical box for PC. Survivalist camp theme you can buy no matter what edition you own, it's just that its free for ultimate edition owners. I asked on Rockstar support and they said you can't. I also asked if they could be disabled in-game and they said they didn't have any information atm. I reckon I'm just gonna wait until after launch to purchase the game, either in November from Rockstar or in December from Steam, so that I don't have to deal with any of this stuff. The only thing I'll be missing is the gang hideout and the bank robbery, but neither of these seem particularly noteworthy anyway. I thought it was some kind of really egregious tax, so I made sure I was like 10 euros over the asking price. Order was still refused, lol.
