Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Releasing November 5th

Spider-Vice

Purposely spoiling the game to PC players will get you banned INSTANTLY.

Don't engage into fanboyism, it looks ridiculous saying "console peasants" and "inferior", and similar, and any platform wars will be penalised accordingly.

Unfortunately, game is too easy compared to RDR1.

I don't know why Rockstar give up with Hardcore mode as it was in RDR1.

do you guys that have played the game on console think it has more replayability compared to gta? cause i passed the main story on gta and never touched it again, was just boring for me.

red dead from what ive seen seems to have a more serious vibe that i enjoy.

I'll play devil's advocate on this one. I think RDR2 was designed with people who only play one playthrough in mind. Diehards will still love playing it through a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time but a lot of the magic of RDR2's world and the dynamic, emergent elements of it is lost in second play throughs IMO.

Saying that, I have something like 80-90 hours in my first playthrough in which I completed the main story and almost all the stranger missions and dabbled in loads of the other stuff. I also have a second playthrough which I've played for 40 hours and I'm at the literal start of chapter 2 still - chapter 1 being the games on the rails prologue. The open world may lose some of it's magic, but there's so much sh*t to find and do still that you're either going to have one gigantic 1st playthrough or plenty of new stuff to experience in your 2nd playthrough.

When it came out there were a few days where I played pretty much all day and didn't touch the main story at all. If you love exploring, RDR2 is the best game Rockstar has ever made for that.

Aye, I'm sure survival and realism mods will come out very quickly. Having to eat more, sleep more, take more damage, more enemies, all that stuff will come 100%. Would make an interesting experience for sure.

Really? I don't remember struggling from difficulty during main rdr1 story at all. For me rdr1 gunplay seems much harder than compared to gta IV for example but shooting in first rdr is not that tough to call it hardcore imo
But I don't know much about rdr2 gunplay/gameplay so maybe you're right

In RDR1 hideouts missions some bandits could kiil you with 1-2 good shots 😃

In RDR2 you can run and slice everybody around with a knife and you won't be dead.

In hardcore mode? I don't remember it being that difficult but I certainly don't use cover in rdr2 as much as I did in rdr1.

I'll tell you this, it's way more fun to f*ck around in RDR2 singleplayer than it was in GTA V. I still load it up just to beat the sh*t out of npcs cause the melee mechanics are insanely fun to use. The world feels so much more lively and it's way easier to get lost in it.

That was in GTA V as well. Personally I don't think it's a bad thing, but it should be disabled on harder difficulties.

Also for me the difficult its ok.

This game in beautuful to play, to restart Mission because something go wrong, not because you die many times.

I don't think the game should be any more difficult, not every game has to be a challenge like dark souls. sh*t gets old restarting from checkpoints over and over again.

Honestly RDR2 isn't that easy as some of you are saying... maybe you die less times compared to RDR1 but I don't think that it's bad, I mean if you like dying more it's ok with me but I enjoyed how challenging RDR2 is without necessarly making you die over and over like an old game.

I died enough in MP3 last week that I hope I won't do as much in RDR2!

It was kind of ok in RDR1, and also the spawn point is usually pretty well picked, so you are back in to action etc.

However, I had the feeling in MP3 that the game was making it easier on me if I died too much in a section (more pills and somehow slightly less enemies as I keep failing)

Is it the same in RDR2?

MP3 does adapt the more you die - spawning less enemies etc

MP3 gives you more pills if you haven't enough HP to play a level, but it gives you less pills if you respawn with more HP (it happened to me many times).
RDR2 doesn't have these mechanics, you can restore your HP with the stuff you have, if you don't have any medicines or food it will be hard.
