Purposely spoiling the game to PC players will get you banned INSTANTLY.

Don't engage into fanboyism, it looks ridiculous saying "console peasants" and "inferior", and similar, and any platform wars will be penalised accordingly.

(inb4 RDR1 remaster embedded and that's why it's 150 GB). :p

>2 shots of New Austin in the PC trailer (They rarely discuss/showcase New Austin)

We'll likely get pre-load information straight from Rockstar in about 3 days 2 days from now at the earliest. And I suspect Oct. 29th is when we can start pre-loading.

If the actual download is 150gb, it'll take me 17 hours to download the game. Let that sink in lmao.

If i had my old net in, it would of took me around 19hrs at 18mbps...thank f*ck i upgraded to superfast

You'd have better luck asking Dan Houser's magic 8-Ball head than relying on Rockstar Support for any kind of info.

Pre-load is happening. Noone will be playing this game on launch day otherwise.

I will

1000/100 :)

I was referring to the servers being hammered by millions of horny cowboys all trying to download the game at the same time. I don't think speeds will matter much at that point.

We're still 10 days away. They can announce a pre-load 5 days early and it'd still be really useful.

There's still time but it's getting a bit tight for people with very slow connections. I doubt there won't be a preload unless they're hiding something huge and they're afraid people find out (inb4 RDR1 remaster embedded and that's why it's 150 GB). :p

RDR1 was around 8GB on PS3, If they put HQ texture and enhanced graphics would be around 16/20 GB, maybe?

You can control it remotely, it's very easy with Chrome Remote Desktop.

RDR1 would probably have to be completely remade in RDR2's engine. I don't think they'd ever want to go back to the tangled spaghetti code.

Well, that's PS4's RPF file structure. May differ to the PC version though.

That would be amazing, dude I would say something about it but I can't or I'd spoil the whole game!

Yeah but letting a computer turned on for a week will be pricey and if there's a lightning strike it's not protected so... i wouldn't want to have the game on my HDD but having my computer fried up (or the house burned down) is not really worth it

I mean...

Huge, fat-ass, life-ending, career-destroying, ass-clenching RDR2 ending spoiler below. DO NOT CLICK.

If they somehow managed to make the game continue after the Epilogue in RDR2, where you seamlessly transition into the beginning of RDR1 as John, with all of his items and equipment... that would be incredible. I've seen a lot of people ask for this, too. Though I really doubt it will ever happen.

How fast is your internet? You can turn your PC off remotely.

Support sucks, i asked em 3 times why I cant preorder rdr2 they said it writes in tos, and they said i have restrictions in my country, few days later rockstar fixed preorders in my country. Its same with that preload info, support does not know anything.

Well if the size is 150 GB, it will take 40 hours to download and why didn't i think about shutting it down remotely.

40 hrs? I think it's better if you download it while you can keep an eye on your PC then. You never know.

I hope the R* launcher supports resuming downloads like Steam does in case of random shutdowns or anything of that nature. Imagine waking up the next day only to find out that the download was interrupted and you have to start all over again.

for me the download will probably last 7 days or so with the pc turned on the whole time.. so it would be pretty nerve-racking if i would have to start over again in case it would get interrupted

Bro, you hit the pessimism juice way too hard every time there's a minor hint of any kind of setback. Relax. You'll be pre-loading this game in a few days or so.

Ehhh at least a support article about preloading like GTA V, given it's a larger game, but I guess we'll get that next week anyway... just like GTA V.

Next week is probably gonna be the week we're looking for. :p

Yeah, if they do it at the same time as they posted the GTAV one then you should be looking at the 28th of October. If they'll hold it back you'd be looking at the 1st of November giving them a weekends range to get the downloads up and sorted before the games release the following week.
