They (R*) know very well the opinion (of the majority) for EGS...Here on GTAforums, you have a nice poll that show that opinion.

 

If we follow the poll, we have 5 EGS for100+ Steam… 60*5 = 300 -> 255$  and for steam ...60*100 = 6000 and 70% gives 4200...

 

If EGS managed to obtain a real market, it would make sense to talk about the cut but not when steam is litteraly 100 millions + user...

Your logic is broken in many ways. You're taking a small sample of an enthusiast community. Of course people will vote for Steam.

 

EGS version will sell well regardless of people's vote here.

 

You're also forgetting the fat check Epic gave Rockstar for the exclusivity deal so yeah they won't be losing money for delaying the Steam release. Rockstar is making more money by delaying the Steam release.

GMG is offering RDR2 in the UK for £48.99 (instead of £54.99 via RGL) and then you can get a further 15% discount on that knocking it down to £41.79. Granted SURE it's the standard edition but that's not a bad price if you don't want the boosters.

How are people "seeing it wrong" when the two free games are games that most of us have anyway?  That's not something I'd count towards the sway and something I'd only recommend to people who have not played these games.

IF the standard were below 200, then I would regret my purchase on rgl

RDR2 is also releasing on the Humble Bundle store I think and it's still not there, and there still isn't anything even acknowledging the preorders so it must be delayed like the screenshots.

I got two copies of the Special Edition, for £12 less each, than the Rockstar Launcher, when they were on Special Offer last week....

Well my broken logic is better than no logic at all...

An enthusiast Community (like GTA forums) Don't give a damn about the launcher war...The vote here represent perfectly what the VAST majority of the people feel about EGS.

 

The vote are supporting RGL more than steam so YOUR logic is faulty here...

 

The reality is even Epic admit that they can't continue with the gift and 12%...they can (ATM) because the platform is empty of functionnality.

But if they want to attract people, they'll have to upgrade the launcher and this will make it difficult to keep a 12% Policy.

 

Anyway, this isn't a topic about EGS but about RDR2 release and i never said it's a failed release.

 

I said "85 % of Nothing is not better than 70% of millions"...this is to counter the "12 is better than 30", not that they won't sell it…

I also said that R* did the right thing as they'll get the steam sales AND the RGL sales (which will boost the RGL popularity and the sales...a bit like what Ubisoft do now)

 

Anyway, i'm done disputing about the subject, it's not the topic for this and i'm not interested in arguing on this...

We'll all be using the RGL anyway. Just buy where it's cheapest or where you feel the most comfortable. For me, that's Steam. But because I'm impatient and can't wait a month, RGL itself will have to do. Too late to refund anyway .I think my 14 days are up. 

 

I just hope buying the game again on Steam doesn't result in the RGL telling me to go f*ck myself.
