Purposely spoiling the game to PC players will get you banned INSTANTLY.

Don't engage into fanboyism, it looks ridiculous saying "console peasants" and "inferior", and similar, and any platform wars will be penalised accordingly.

The social interaction you get with steam is unique. Not to mention that it's much more in-depth and organized as a platform.

I only ordered on Launcher because i was able to get it at a measly price otherwise i would have gone with the steam version that i will buy next year on sale.

Dont forget that even buying it on steam you will need the RGL.

What do you mean by social interaction?

Screenshots/comments on profiles, join/create groups, reviews and threads where you get to know like-minded people to chat with, discover games by browsing their libraries too. There's really tons of features, i can't list them all.

I do understand, having the so many hours played via Steam is cool & all. I guess i'll be cheesy and add it as a non-Steam game lmfao.

But i can't wait any later to play through this masterpiece! (again)

I mean, I am with you, Steam is great and it has plenty of features....I usually buy games on Steam....However....all those comments, groups, reviews and threads are still visible to you even without owning a game. So, (in my opinion, not telling others what to do) there isn't really that much that Steam offers in terms of RDR2. If the game only needed to go through Steam, I would definitely wait....But since R* launcher is still there with all these bonuses, and plenty of features are available on Steam even without owning a game on Steam (hell, you can even add it there as a non-Steam game)....I personally don't see much reasons to wait (maybe if you want Family Share and some other bonuses, plus some wallet funds)

That ain't worth $60 tho. In my opinion.

Edit:

Not to mention the pre order bonuses that you aren't getting, as well as the two free games if you only go with steam.

They'll both be $60 whether I buy on R* Launcher or on Steam. I don't need the free weapons for single players as I already know when I'll be able to unlock them. I don't plan on playing online so I don't really care about 50 Gold Bars and I already have both L.A Noire and MP3 on Steam and already played all of the other games so it's kinda worthless to me.

And yes we know that you still need R* launcher to play it but I rather have the game and all the stats on Steam.

Well for the $60 I was talking about people who said they would buy both versions and for the stats on steam if that is worth waiting a whole month of sitting on the sideline to you then so be it.

However, if someone comes to RDR2 say late December where it is released on all storefronts then I would say steam is the obvious decision, but in this situation not so much.

I wonder if you'll be able to lower the game's graphical settings enough, with a config file and probably some modding, to run it on an IntelHD with 4 gigs of RAM?

In your dreams, you can't even do that with gta 4 or 5 let alone rdr2. If you can't afford to run it on the minimum settings buy a console.

I remember when I was at school a few years ago I tryed to get skyrim to run on a IntelHD and all I got was corrupt rendering and a frame rate reminiscent of a PowerPoint presentation. I tryed to run fallout 3 at the bare minimum settings and I got like 10fps. In short asking if you could run rdr2 on an IntelHD is like asking if you could play gta 5 on a raspberry pi. It's never gonna happen and it's rediculous to expect it to. Go out and buy a cheap second hand card and a $70 stick of ram and then maybe you can match what a console delivers.

I have to say, I never thought I'd see the day where my boys Arthur and John will be on my PC, after giving up hope on RDR1 coming to PC.

Yeah, you'd have to be a maniac to buy the game twice on PC, especially if you already bought a copy on the consoles. I already got the Platinum for the game. I can wait a month.

Well actually, it is possible to run both GTA IV and GTA 5 on an IntelHD with 4 gigs of ram. It's not optimal, but it is possible to run them at the very least.

I was just merely wondering if it'd be possible to run it at all, I never said it had to be playable.

GTA 5 on a IntelHD with mods? You've either got a really good IntelHD or really good mods.

I wouldnt consider that playable. If 15fps is what we consider playable, rdr1 is playable right now on emulators.

Again, I never said it was playable like that, but rather runnable.

I think that is more like, pushing it to the limit and see what you can achieve... than making it playable. It's a thing for fun.

Exactly! It's interesting to see just how far you can push something low-end before it just craps out on you and doesn't work!

All of this talk about performance and minimum requirements is making me feel really uneasy with my 2gb 760. My heart sank when I saw the minimum requirements - I'm just barely under minimum, which is a 770.
