Quadro
Hi all, I've been trying to diagnose this win 10 hang time I keep getting. It happens at all different scenarios - sometimes it just on discord with nothing else opened. sometimes its when i'm playing assetto corsa. Sometimes it just even at startup when i want to put in my password. What i can tell is the issue is that my SDD disc usage goes from normal usage to 100% and hangs from as little as a couple of seconds to up to a minute. I have tried the usual steps - reinstall of win 10, different antivirus, updated drivers, seeing if any errors in event viewer match to the hang time events ect ect. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 w/ standard cooler B450M DS3H motherboard Radeon RX 580 Samsung SSD and a variety of Logitech USB connected devices 16 gig DDR4 ram Anyone had similar experiences? Best i could find in my research was that the AMD chipsets, coupled with an SSD seem to create hang time events, but can't find a solution. manofpeace
I'd keep an eye on the task manager with it sorted by Disk usage; perhaps something is launching itself in the background. Guest
Are the Usb devices drawing power from the PC PSU? If the answer is yes or no unplug them all. Borrow a usb keyboard and mouse and see if you have the same problem. You could be drawing too much power from PSU or you have a faulty usb device. Another thing worth checking is opening device mananger and check all drivers are working correctly. If not you will have a yellow question mark next to them. Auto update or manual update to fix yellow question marks.
