Rainbomizer: San Andreas Randomizer

I can't get the mission randomizer or the randomized cutscene locations to turn off. I changed the values to false in the Notepad but, when I start a new game, they're still randomized. Is there some other reason why this isn't changing ?

Could be one of two reasons

- Rainbomizer cannot read the config file because of the directory permissions

- You made an error in the config file while editing it

 

Check the Rainbomizer log (rainbomizer/logs/yyyy-mm-dd.txt) in either case - If there is no log, that means it doesn't have permissions - if there is a log, the error in the config file should be in the log.

my game keeps crashing after entering a random vehicle. The code is the same every time (0x4F1464).

Here are links to the two logs that I have, in order, if you don't mind taking a look at them. I'm unsure what the issues are, they just say that the randomizers were initialized, followed by codes.

 

Also, the link to my config file, just in case.

Looks like a bad downgrade, does it crash without Rainbomizer?

Okay, I figured it out. I had two config files, one in my scripts folder and one in the "rainbomizer" folder. The one I sent you was the unedited one, in the "rainbomizer" folder. It works now. Thanks, I honestly wouldn't have figured it out if you hadn't pointed that out lol.

Yeah, it did but honestly I didn't think about a bad downgrade. Downloaded another downgrader and now everything works like a dream. Thanks!

Hi,

 

On github rainbomizer's main page it is written that there are new features like the player randomizer (cj randomized with random peds during the gameplay). However, in the "newest" release 2.1.1 which was one year ago, I can't find those features. I found them on the updated workflow in the config default file but it's not compatible with the "newest" release (by copy pasting it at least).

 

Do I have to update the new features myself? How do I update the features myself from the workflow files on the 2.1.1 release?

Or is it not a public release yet? I mean I find it weird there's both new features listed and an updated workflow but also a one year old latest release which still isn't updated?

Release v3.0

The third major version of Rainbomizer has finally been released! This major update includes randomizers for peds, languages, riots, timecycle, weather and more. The update also fixes a lot of bug-fixes. All the changes and improvements in the new version are listed below.

New Features

  • Timecycle Randomizer which randomizes the weather and the timecycle settings, resulting in randomized colours of the sky, water, lighting, and other time-based elements.
  • Ped Randomizer that randomizes the appearance of every ped while maintaining their original behaviour. This includes all peds on the street, cops, gang members, and mission characters.
  • Player Randomizer, a re-working of Clothes Randomizer which allows CJ to randomize into other models as well as himself wearing different clothing.
  • Language Randomizer that randomizes language of text between other game languages.
  • Riot Randomizer that adds a chance for riot mode to randomly activate as you move between zones, which also includes randomization of Traffic Lights and their order and timing.
  • An experimental Animation Randomizer that shuffles every animation in the game (please note that this crashes regularly and should not be used for a normal playthrough).
  • Much greater variety of random mission vehicles added to all base game missions.
  • Trains spawned in missions are now randomized to different types of trains.
  • All vehicle-based sub-missions now give you random vehicles, and some can be started with any vehicle such as Courier and the NRG-500 Challenge.
  • Pickup Randomizer can now randomize drops from dead peds and other pickups beyond weapons like health and armour. Pickups can be randomized into various non-weapons like adrenaline pills, jetpacks, and bags of money.
  • Enhanced Weapon Randomizer and Pickup Randomizer to add more variety to randomization options, including full randomization of weapons used by the player during autoscrollers.
  • Generic ped dialogue from all peds (including CJ) is now randomized to a different type of line from that ped.
  • Some generic sound effects are randomized, such as those in the menu.
  • Colour Randomizer now randomizes a much greater variety of elements - as well as more parts of the HUD, this includes, lights, coronas, stars, clouds, and mission vehicles. It also can re-randomize every fade.
  • Traffic Randomizer can now randomize police roadblocks, scripted cop spawns, and gang cars in gang wars.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed Customs Fast Track not unlocking the Import/Export board.
  • Drug dealers now have random weapons.
  • The North Icon is now randomized with Blip Randomizer, and blips will now be visible while inside interiors.
  • All of the schools have had their code modified to make them more completable with slower vehicles. These changes can be disabled.
  • Several cases of mission vehicles being stuck when randomizing into large vehicles have been fixed by moving them or otherwise adding compatibility with the mission.
  • Moved triggers in Stowaway and Highjack to better match the provided randomized vehicles.
  • Moved peds attached to cars in several missions to not be stuck inside their randomized cars.
  • Pickups such as molotovs, cameras, and parachutes are now fully randomized outside of mission settings.
  • Breaking The Bank At Caligula's will now give you goggles and a usable explosive for blowing up the generators.
  • Planes in Air Raid can now successfully fly over the roof and drop bombs.
  • Missions that previously gave no money due to having no set value now give you a random amount up to the maximum reward.
  • Credits no longer crash if you have not completed all End Of The Line parts.
  • Key To Her Heart will no longer infinitely fail if you get it after having already killed or being dumped by Millie.
  • Fixed the Four Dragons intro cutscene interrupting and breaking random missions that take place there.
  • Carrying the vehicle in Up, Up, And Away! is no longer extremely slow or impossible with certain vehicles.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur in Interdiction and some other missions involving helicopters.
  • Added full support for the Chaos Mod's Pass Current Mission effect in Mission Randomizer.

I've encountered some issues with version 3.2:

- With Randomized Fades turned on in Toreno Last Flight (when going to the helipad), after buying property and after failing Air Raid (there could be more cases) fade for some reason stays on screen and not disappear till you load save file or enter interior (this makes Toreno Last Flight mission impossible to complete with Randomized Fades turned on, in other cases you need to load save file again)

- In Breaking the Bank at Caligula's if I fail to throw grenade to vent my weapon is stuck on gogles and I cannot change them (also I can't use them for some reason). Also if I fail the mission and retry it same thing happen when I enter casino. To fix this I need to reload save file.

- Ped Randomizer seems to have problem with Project2dfx/Open Limit Adjuster and causes the game to freeze very often (CrashInfo says nothing, the game just freeze and all I can do is close the game with task manager)

- In-game subtitles are not language randomized (I mean those when you driving a car and someone is talking or phone calls, other ones like objectives or cutscene subtitles works fine)

- Not sure if it's inteded or not but diving gives wanted level with Randomize Chaos Points

I can't get randomized missions to work even though I have the feature set to true, I'm not sure what I need to do to make it work.

I've finished my 2nd run with rainbomizer and I've encountered 1 more thing: game may crash when you buy weapons from Ammunation (especially when you buy a lot of them)

Also GInptut crash on 2 missions: 

- Dam and Blast (when touching the corona)

-Robbing Uncle Sam (when getting to the heli "forklift")

 

 

I've tried to get logs from SCRlog or CrashInfoSA about the issue with PedRandomizer & Project2DFX/OLA but only Rainbomizer saved any logs (there's 3 of them and one of CrashInfo but looks like that 2nd crash was modloader fault)

I removed Rainbomizer from modloader (ASI) directory and here is what happened:

All icons for missions, restaurants, etc. are still correctly placed, but the symbols do not correspond to what the place actually is.

I have no idea about modding, or scripting and I don't know how to set my map on default.


Any help is appreciated.
My spec: Windows 10, Ryzen 5 2600, Rx580 8GB VRAM, 8GB Ram

If you enabled it once on a save file, you can't revert the blips back to original in the same save file. You need to start a new game or load a different save.

Putting this ASI alongside Rainbomizer should fix the crash. I'm not sure why it affects only some installations though.

I'm trying to mod the randomized game (It's a total conversion mod.) with vehicle, ped and weapon mods. It went well, but when I start the game again after a while, the mods like vehicles are unmodded back to the original, how do I fix this?

Rainbomizer is only designed to work with normal unmodded games. It's highly unlikely for total conversion mods to work.

Oh, so that means I have to keep installing them whenever I want to play it with other mods which I've done it before? Thanks for the reply though. :)

I have found constant game closures randomly, and I don't know if I should call it "error" in the police vehicle to this here(is random the selection of the texture)
