virsikirja
Hello, i have a problem. I downloaded your gta iv radio downgrader to get the old songs back, but when i open the game, complete a few missions, save and reopen the game, it says that the save file is not working and i have to create a new one and start the story again. What am i doing wrong? Are you playing with the Steam version or one bought on the Rockstar Games Launcher? If you did the latter, then RGL automatically restores modified files, I believe. Gractus
Big thank you to Sam Lake and everyone that helped to get the music back in for GTA IV. Now I can finally continue my 4th attempt at finishing the story after switching from Xbox to PC, losing save files from windows reinstalls, and Rockstar breaking the game, then fixing the game, then breaking the game lol. But I was wondering, is there a way to get rid of IV radio stations, I mean the ones that are combined together like Vladivostok FM, LRR, K109 etc. I would like to play without them and have only EFLC replaced radio ,imo, IV radio stations don't fit right in EFLC. Well, I tried the simple way, by removing them and making them as a backup of course, that worked in IV, didn't get any crashes, but trying to play tlad or tbogt, that makes my game crash for some reason, without even having a loading screen. Does It require some scripting to fix this or is there another way?
Igor Bogdanoff
well eflc radios are in dlc's rpfs, thus removing those whole rpfs you also lose all others sounds, not only radio there could be ofc edit of the dat files to remove either that or that, but currently its still not finished enough for public release, i myself always only get converted stuff from Parik Reizov

Try just playing on a clean copy (play game for a few missions, save and restart game) and see if it might be an issue on your end. Igor Bogdanoff
i dont think so, but thats more of a coding issue. but Vladivostok iv songs came after tbogt one. new and old (someone reported that on non downgraded iv only tbogt Vladivostok plays)

There is lame workaround that you boot game in offline mode - aka you pull out internet cable/turn off wifi and then run game, after it launches, you can connect back in the internet cable/turn on wifi and enjoy game with original soundtrack and accomplishments. It is also recommended to disable automatic updates in Rockstar Game Launcher for GTA IV Doesn't this line in Rockstar Launcher works? -scOfflineOnly

I watched both of these videos from JoshuaFrameTV, and the second one linked this forum and a fix that is a radio downgrader. The only problem with that fix is that it only replaces with the original GTA IV songs and not with the EFLC ones. The 3 new radios are missing. Igor Bogdanoff
I think it would be to start over from clean version First apply this radio downgrader Then follow the first video
Ellie-H
I am applying this downgrade on a clean copy of IV 2020 but it seems that the reason that it didnt worked before is because the files seems to be "Read Only" , I noticed when looking at some errors that are appearing on the .bat file right now , I will re-try the downgrade later after seeing if I can untoggle the Read Only atributes on the files

biznizz
Are you playing on a Steam copy or RGL copy? RGL hates modded files and always redownloads clean copies unless you do a work around. Also, either way, have you tried to launch a clean version of the game at least once before applying downgrader?
Silverdroid
Works like a charm on the latest version of GTA IV. Finally I can listen to Glukoza - Schweine in the intro scene again. Thanks for your hard work! Schachmatt777

If they do, can someone please give me a link for it? The only way you can do that for now is disable TBOGT radio entirely. (So you'll have to sacrifice the additions to K109 the studio </3) B Dawg told me how to do this here. I personally just do this to the TLAD setup2.xml. The thing is is that you also won't hear it while playing TLAD or TBOGT, except in the interiors where that music is present, like Hercules will still play all those disco songs. But I suppose it wouldn't hurt just cutting out those Vladivostok FM additions one by one yourself in OpenIV? Anyways this works PERFECTLY for me. Can't tell you how happy I am to have 1979 back PLEASE add it to the top post!!! Edited November 11, 2020 by BrynnaDaRosa
